Our history
Wolt started operating in Budapest with a small but enthusiastic team of 10 people. We were proud to deliver the first orders in Hungary!
The expansion started quickly, and our team grew too. We started delivering happiness in three new cities – Pécs, Győr and Debrecen.
2020 was quite challenging, but even the pandemic couldn't stop us. During this time, we operated in 12 cities and continued to bring you happiness – while also supporting our courier and merchant partners. 💙
We expanded to 11 more cities, taking our total number 23! Aside from delivering popular local dishes, we started to focus more on retail. We moved to our 3rd office because the team grew to 200 people strong.
The first Wolt Market store opened and we continued to bring our service to even more cities all across Hungary. We have lots of ideas and plans to bring you an even better Wolt experience...so stay tuned! 🤩
In 2023 we'll focus on Wolt+, retail expansion, new city launches, and of course continuing to bring you the most delicious dishes and much more...so stay tuned! 🚀

Celebrating 5 years of Wolt Hungary
