About Wolt

At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.

Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.

Wolt License Services (WLS) is a dynamic payments compliance organization, specializing for payment and financial services for our parent company Wolt, a prominent platform marketplace. At the moment, WLS handles all merchant payment flows in our 20 EEA markets and ensures compliance with various regulatory requirements, such as AML and safeguarding of customers’ funds. As a supervised payment institution, we have heavy requirements on us while we aim to have the most streamlined, structured and customer friendly processes, providing value to our clients, partners and Wolt group.

As we expand our operations to Israel, we seek a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Manager to join our Israeli entity as a Compliance Officer. Reporting to the Managing Director, Payments,  individual will play a crucial role in ensuring our compliance with regulatory requirements in Israel in close co-operation with European colleagues. This includes overseeing and implementing local Anti-Money Laundering (AML) programs, regulatory reporting, and intra-group outsourcing arrangements. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Israeli financial regulations, experience in a financial institution, and the ability to work effectively with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.

Excited by growth and continuous progress of the payment institution business, evolving regulation, analytical mindset and strong interpersonal skills go a long way. On top of mastering regulatory compliance, this role involves building and maintaining successful relationships with internal stakeholders both in HQ and local teams. Furthermore, the role will set the blueprint for the future operational compliance organization in Israel while being hands-on in reporting and other operational tasks, so the ability to manage multiple priorities while working autonomously and meticulously is a must.

What you'll be doing:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements in Israel, especially the new Payment Services Law, Anti-Money regulation and other local Israeli regulations.
  • AML Oversight: Contribute to the development of robust AML policies and procedures to take Israel requirements into account; implement and manage the policies in Israel, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal guidelines.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Define the reporting processes and oversee the preparation and submission of accurate and timely regulatory reports to Israeli supervisory authorities.
  • Intra-Group Outsourcing: Coordinate and manage intra-group outsourcing arrangements in Israel, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact between Wolt and Israeli regulatory bodies, internal departments, and external auditors.
  • Training and Awareness: Contribute to training programs for employees to promote a culture of compliance and awareness throughout the organization.
  • Risk Management: Continuously identify, assess, and mitigate Israeli related compliance risks, providing regular reports to senior management on the status of compliance programs in collaboration with the WLS Risk Manager.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed of regulatory changes and industry trends both in Israel and Europe, adapting compliance strategies and programs accordingly.

Our humble expectations:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in compliance roles within the financial services industry, with a focus on regulatory compliance, AML, and cross-border operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of Israeli financial regulations, including Payment Services Law and AML directives. Experience from operating with the European PSD2 is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while keeping the relevant stakeholders aligned.
  • Proficiency in English and Hebrew is required.
