We are looking for a driven and strategic Account Manager Team Lead to head our sales efforts for non-grocery retail partners on Wolt’s online delivery platform. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of Account Managers & Account Specialists,  focused on growing and nurturing our existing retail partner base, ensuring they thrive within the Wolt ecosystem and contribute meaningfully to our market’s commercial success.

The role is responsible for building strong partner relationships, optimizing performance through data-led consultation, and ensuring the team meets and exceeds growth and revenue targets. The ideal candidate brings extensive account management experience, has worked with retailers that match our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), and has a strong track record of successfully managing and developing high-performing sales teams in fast-paced, tech-enabled environments.

What you’ll be doing

  • Partner Growth – Drive the commercial growth of existing retail partners by delivering strategic, data-driven performance insights and top-tier consultation.
  • Portfolio Management – Oversee a portfolio of non-grocery retail partners, ensuring value creation across all stakeholders: partners, customers, couriers, and Wolt.
  • Data Analysis – Leverage your analytical expertise to assess merchant performance, uncover areas for improvement, and craft actionable insights.
  • Process Innovation – Test scalable solutions for partner collaboration, evaluate impact, and implement efficient workflows that deliver measurable results.
  • Contract Negotiation – Re-negotiate commercial terms with key partners to strengthen collaboration and long-term value.
  • Team Leadership – Set clear targets, provide coaching, and lead by example to empower your team to consistently deliver high performance.
  • Team Well-being – Foster a positive, supportive work culture where people feel valued, engaged, and motivated to grow.
  • Best Practice Advocacy – Share expertise, guide your team through structured consultation, and champion operational excellence.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Ensure smooth communication across functions to align goals and optimize partner performance.
  • Interdepartmental Synergy – Work closely with other teams within Sales and Merchant Services to streamline operations and share feedback loops.

  • Experience – Proven success as a Senior Account Manager or Business Developer within the Retail sector, ideally in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
  • Analytical Thinking – A strategic mindset combined with strong numerical ability to interpret complex data sets and influence decisions at scale.
  • Project Management – Skilled in stakeholder management and process implementation, with a structured approach to delivering impact.
  • Communication – Excellent interpersonal and business communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire diverse stakeholders.
  • Leadership – Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams, instilling motivation and accountability.
  • Languages – Fluency in both Greek and English is essential for success in this role.
