We are looking for a motivated and experienced Merchant Account Development Manager to drive growth and revenue across our restaurant and merchant network. This is a strategic role where you will be responsible for developing and implementing local growth strategies and building strong relationships with key industry players.

As a Merchant Account Development Manager, you will act as a strategic partner and growth driver for our merchants, developing tailored ads and promotions strategies that align with their business objectives. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, performance analysis, and a focus on driving product adoption, customer engagement, and long-term retention.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive ads and promos strategy for our restaurant and retail business with a focus on revenue growth, product adoption, and customer engagement.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and manage relationships with key industry players, including global enterprise brands, franchises, and local key accounts to meet their evolving needs.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Motivate a high-performing local Account Management team to exceed ad revenue targets and customer acquisition and retention goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and operations, to ensure business objectives are met.

Performance Analysis & Reporting:

  • Analyze sales performance metrics and provide regular updates to leadership on sales ROI and key trends.

Account Management & Development:

  • Lead strategic account planning, sales presentations, contract negotiations, and QBRs, ensuring seamless execution of ad campaigns and long-term retention.

Our humble expectations

  • Fluency in German and English
  • 3+ years of account management or sales experience in a high-growth, data-driven environment
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and managing complex negotiations
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to extract meaningful insights, and implement data-driven campaign optimizations
  • Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and basic sales reporting
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, execution, and tracking of initiatives

Bonus points

  • Experience in retail media / advertising
  • Prior enterprise client work
