Role background

Wolt is a Finnish technology company and we’re best known for our food delivery platform. We are growing rapidly and are now looking for a Payments & Cash Operations Specialist to join our Central Operations team. 

In the Operations Team, we focus on our courier partners: We ensure the right number of courier partners to meet the order demand by constantly developing courier partner satisfaction and smooth, scalable processes. 

As a Payments & Cash Operations Specialist, you will be a key player in ensuring our cash and payment processes run smoothly and efficiently. Your role will involve various tasks with the long-term goal of reducing cash debt and ensuring that courier payments are processed on time every payment cycle in SRB, HRV, MKD, and possibly newly engaged markets. You will be responsible for various tasks, from data monitoring and reporting to managing key accounts and optimizing payment & cash processes. Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, being proactive, and having a strong analytical mindset is important. 

What you’ll be doing:  

Regular Courier Payouts: You'll take the lead in handling courier payouts every cycle, adapting smoothly to the unique procedures of different countries. Part of your role involves sharing updates about courier earnings with our fleet partners—keeping everyone in the loop is key!

Payment and Invoices Issues: When numbers don’t add up, whether it’s courier earnings or invoices, you’ll step in gracefully to sort things out. Your solutions will not only fix things but also help us dodge similar issues in the future.

Cash Department Processes: Keep an eye on the daily cash flow of our courier partners. You’ll ensure that our cash processes hum along nicely, nudging couriers who are late in settling their cash duties and gently reminding them to stay on track. Part of your role will also involve communicating with our courier partners through messages or emails. 

Courier Partners Performance Monitoring: Keep tabs on how well our couriers are doing with their cash deliveries. It’s about spotting the good and finding ways to make things better, like tweaking processes to reduce cash debts and enhance efficiency.

Process Optimization: Dive into the heart of our operations to make them even better. You’ll hunt for any bottlenecks and dream up smart solutions to streamline everything. Your goal? To boost our productivity and keep our operations running smoothly.

Data Management & Analysis: Data is your playground. You'll manage our databases daily, keep our data fresh, and share insights with both courier and fleet partners. Ensuring our data is precise and current will be a key part of your day-to-day responsibilities.

We're looking for someone who's not only a whiz with numbers and processes but also a fantastic communicator who can make complex tasks seem like a breeze. If you're ready to take on this challenge and make a real impact, we can't wait to hear from you!

Our humble expectations 

  • Relevant experience ideally from payments processing, logistic operations, or a similar setting. Experience with payment systems, data analysis, and complex reporting is highly valued.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions. 
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data management and reporting. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, as well as independently.
  • Fast learner, able to quickly adapt to new tools, processes, and information.
  • Fluency in Serbian/Croatian & English is a must. 

Bonus points if you also 

  • Have relevant experience in high-level autonomy-required roles. 
  • Are familiar with tools such as G-sheets.
