What you’ll be doing
As Retail Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for strategically developing a portfolio of key account partners, driving their growth and profitability. This role includes overall ownership of the accounts, ensuring a hands-on approach to daily management. You will implement new products, upsell, and handle tenders for existing partners throughout Finland.
You’ll work closely with various stakeholders, always prioritizing Wolt’s best interests and enabling our operations to flourish.
Day-to-day in this role you’ll:
- Develop and foster partner relationships with your portfolio of key retail partners, working with the partner to improve overall conversion rates by sharing tools, best practices and ensure an optimal product selection per each Retailer for Wolt’s platform.
- Strategically introduce and execute on new Wolt product opportunities to strengthen partnerships and increase partner revenue streams. Includes new business development with our Partners, and e.g. creating daily processes for the new business lines.
- Drive revenue growth of Wolt and retail partners in your portfolio by improving venue performance through a data-based approach.
- Drive & execute on operational improvements with your partners to ensure that we are delivering the best experience for Wolt customers.
- Key communicator between our Operations, Product, Wolt Support, Marketing, and the retailers.
- Renegotiate terms and conditions with retail partners.
- Having a deep understanding of the competition and various verticals in the market.
Our humble expectations
- Proven success in Key Account Management and/or Business Development, with a strong commercial mindset driving growth and profitability.
- Strategic commercial thinker who builds crisp, data-driven business cases and turns insights into decisions.
- Understanding of the Finnish retail landscape, with preferably previous experience in e-commerce or FMCG sectors.
- Exceptional skills in managing relationships at all organizational levels, ensuring alignment and driving collaboration across internal and external partners.
- Advanced analytics skills with Looker or Power BI and strong spreadsheet fluency.
- Clear, structured communicator and trusted partner who can influence without authority.
- Skilled negotiator who drives adoption of solutions like Wolt Ads, Wolt+ and Wolt Drive when they add value.
- English & Finnish fluency
