We’re on the lookout for a Senior Android Engineer to join our Payments Platform team within the Fintech Group at Wolt, where we’re building world-class infrastructure for handling payments at scale.
About the Fintech & Payments Platform Team
The Fintech group is home to several cross-functional teams, including the Payments Platform team, which is responsible for the Android, iOS, and Web payment modules and UI, as well as end-to-end features like:
- Our in-house Payments SDKs across platforms
- Integrations with a wide range of payment solutions for the Wolt consumer app
- Enabling flexible and innovative payment experiences, like bill-splitting, multi-payment, recurring payments, and on-demand two-factor authentication
You’ll work alongside both backend and frontend engineers to deliver seamless payment capabilities, collaborating with internal product and engineering teams such as Consumer, Retail, and Growth. The features you help build will be used by millions of users globally.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Android Engineer, you’ll:
- Contribute to the Payments SDKs and build Android components for key payment user flows like checkout
- Integrate new payment methods and enable advanced payment experiences
- Influence the team’s roadmap, technical choices, and ways of working
- Ensure our 500+ cities and 38+ million registered users enjoy safe, stable, and intuitive payment experiences
You can be based in the Helsinki capital area, Berlin or work entirely remotely elsewhere in Finland, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, or Estonia now and in the future! 🌍

Our humble expectations
You might be the one we are looking for if you have several years of experience in native Android development with modern technologies (Kotlin, Coroutines, Jetpack). Experience in payments or payment integrations would be highly valued but is not mandatory.
We commit to a user-centric approach and expect to find someone who shares that mindset. On top of that, we value an attitude of continuous improvement and the ability to create things from scratch. An entrepreneurial mindset and taking ownership of what you build is essential.
