About the Wolt and the role

Since launching in Denmark in 2017, Wolt has become a go-to platform for food and retail delivery in over 60 cities. With more than 5,000 restaurants and retail merchants, we’re on a mission to build the most trusted and efficient merchant ecosystem in the country.

To support that mission, we’re hiring a Merchant Operations Lead. In this role, you and your 10-person team will own a growing portfolio of more than 3,000 small and medium-sized businesses. You will be responsible for merchant success, support, POS integrations and product imaging, ensuring that merchants operate smoothly, efficiently, and successfully on the Wolt platform.

What you’ll be doing:

👥 Team & People Leadership

  • Lead and grow a cross-functional team focused on all small and medium-sized merchant success
  • Set and track team KPIs, drive performance, and coach team members to success
  • Maintain a positive, productive, and customer-centric team culture.

⚙️ Merchant Success Strategy

  • Develop and execute strategies to unlock operational and commercial merchant success 
  • Design and optimise SOPs and workflows to manage merchants efficiently at scale
  • Collaborate with sales, onboarding, account management, and frontline support teams to deliver a seamless merchant journey.

🛠️ POS Integrations

  • Lead our POS system integration efforts across SMB and enterprise merchants, ensuring stable order flow and menu accuracy.
  • Partner with global tech and product teams to solve bugs, improve tools, and streamline connectivity.

📸 Product Imaging

  • Lead our menu and product imaging operations to ensure content quality and speed.
  • Standardize and scale imaging workflows for accuracy, consistency, and merchant satisfaction.

📈 Process Optimization & Insights

  • Use data to track team performance, merchant satisfaction, operational health and commercial results
  • Improve tooling and automation to boost efficiency and reduce manual touchpoints.
    Share best practices with peers across other Wolt markets

Our humble expectations

✅ Must-Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, customer success, or marketplace support.
  • 2+ years of people management experience with a track record of team development.
  • Strong analytical and process improvement skills.
  • Proficiency in English.

⭐ Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in food delivery, retail, or logistics platforms.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce, Pipedrive or Monday.com
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Looker, PowerBI or Tableau
  • Solid understanding of POS integrations and technical operations.
  • Exposure to imaging or content production workflows.
  • Proficiency in Danish
