About Wolt
At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.
Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.
We're looking for a Global Senior Specialist, Food Safety to strengthen Wolt’s Food Safety Program across delivery and grocery operations. This role will help ensure that scalable food safety processes are in place and working well across all of our countries — supporting our country teams, third-party grocery and delivery partners to meet high safety standards.
You’ll work cross-functionally with local and regional teams, delivery operations, customer support, legal and product to build scalable processes, manage incidents, and provide expert guidance on food safety matters. This is a chance to shape how Wolt delivers safe, quality food experiences at scale.
What you’ll be doing
- Ensure HACCP food safety systems and working groups are in place
- Be the food safety subject matter expert during inspections and in response to food authority inquiries.
- Collaborate with local food authorities and coordinate responses and actions with internal Wolt teams.
- Create guidance and documentation for local teams to manage food authority engagements more effectively.
- Identify and improve hygiene practices across the last-mile journey.
- Support Delivery and Operations teams in developing testing, monitoring, and documentation protocols that align with local regulatory expectations.
- Provide food safety expertise in incident management and support appropriate follow-up, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Partner with local and regional teams to ensure issues are resolved, documented, and learned from.
- Create processes and tools to help our customer support teams reliably capture and escalate food safety issues.
- Create training materials for Customer Support teams
What we’re hoping you’ll bring
- 4+ years background in food safety management systems (could include the following: HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRC, IFS or similar).
- An ability to take initiative and drive projects to completion, with a track record to show it
- Analytical mindset with an ability to interpret data and create actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills, able to work cross-functionally and with different countries.
- Fluency in English; other languages are a bonus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
- Experience working with food authorities and authority inspection management is a plus
- Background in managing food safety issues in multi-partner or multi-location environments is a plus
- Experience in a relevant field, like food quick commerce, grocery supply chain, or delivery is a plus
- Experience in building or scaling food safety processes is a plus.
