Role background
We’ve grown significantly in the last years, expanding our operations from just four countries across the Nordics, to 30 countries across Europe and Asia today. As we continue to scale and grow, we are now looking for a Treasury Specialist to join our Treasury Back Office team. As a member of the Treasury team, you will also produce invaluable insights and data to enable effective risk management, cash forecasting and liquidity management, and timely reporting and analytics. Besides working with the Treasury team, you will partner and cooperate with different internal and external stakeholders, such as various finance folks, Fintech teams, our Legal function, and partner banks. You will also take part in managing and cultivating strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and external stakeholders. You will participate in overseeing banking facilities and the negotiation of banking products and services, ensuring favourable terms, cost-efficient structures, and alignment with Wolt's financial strategy.
We are very much in a building mode right now - developing processes and ways of working. In addition to day-to-day tasks, you will take part in development projects and impact the way we do things. In Wolt Finance teams we take accountability for our own projects and take pride in being meticulous and precise. We also enjoy learning and developing as we go - it’s important that you share this approach!
What you’ll be doing
- Coordinating Treasury payments;
- Administering Wolt's banking infrastructure;
- Managing bank accounts
- Implementing cash pools
- Performing KYC;
- Participating in the monthly reporting of Treasury related items;
- Coordinate testing of new file payments with our FinTech teams and banks;
- Coordinating intercompany funding, and;
- Handling trade finance and collateral related requests
Our humble expectations
To be successful in this role, you will have previous working experience from Treasury tasks, KYC processes, and an international operating field. You have a suitable education in finance, financial management or business administration. You communicate fluently, both orally and in writing, in English and Finnish. We consider experience in using and implementing Treasury Management system(s) as an advantage. Understanding of ISO 20022 XML files is also a big plus!
We’re looking for someone with:
- around 2-3 years of relevant work experience;
- previous experience of Treasury tasks and and reporting of Treasury related items;
- Familiarity with accounting principles and strong with numbers and analytical skills;
Besides the above, we’re looking for someone with the Wolt usuals: Ability and passion to work autonomously in a fast-moving international environment, strong relationship building and customer service mindset, and a true growth mindset to consistently learn and develop skills.
