Job description
Our Courier Payroll Support Team is looking for a Payroll Support Associate (m/f/d) who will work closely with the team to ensure smooth and effective communication between the payroll function and our couriers in Germany and in future Austria.

The team of employees at Wolt currently consists of more than 100 HR, Payroll and Talent Acquisition professionals based in Helsinki, Copenhagen, Berlin, Tel-Aviv, Tbilisi, Budapest, Zagreb and Tokyo.
We are currently experiencing a period of hyper growth in Germany and Austria, to meet this demand we are now looking for you to join our team as Payroll Support Associate. (m/f/d).
This is a truly unique opportunity to be part of a Payroll team in one of the fastest growing companies in Europe and have the chance to really contribute to what a modern payroll looks like, with the goal of providing world class payroll and service to all our couriers.
What you will be doing
- Provide first-class support to our couriers by responding to tickets related to payments and payroll documents
- Analyse incoming support requests and prioritise workflows accordingly
- Implement courier requests related to tax class changes
- Process income certificates, employment certificates, and other relevant documents
- Support Payroll Specialists with various administrative and operational tasks
Participate in the continuous review and update of country-specific payroll processes to ensure compliance with legal changes - Collaborate with colleagues across teams, always keeping the courier experience at the centre of your work
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in communication role, supporting role or customer contact, ideally in payroll, HR, or other administrative tasks.
- Strong written fluency in German and English is essential, as the role focuses primarily on creating clear, concise, and accurate written communication in both languages. A basic level of spoken German is also required to support occasional verbal interactions.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
- Quick to learn and able to connect the dots between the details and the bigger picture
- Thorough and organised – you complete tasks with care and accuracy
- A hands-on, can-do attitude – you're proactive and ready to take initiative in a dynamic setting
- Tech-savvy and curious – you enjoy learning new tools and systems
- A passion for supporting others and solving problems with empathy and efficiency
- Resilient under pressure and able to stay focused in a fast-paced environment
