About Wolt
At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.
Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.
About the role
As we continue to evolve and scale, we are looking for an experienced and visionary Senior Internal Communications Manager to help us raise our company-wide internal communications to the next level - a level that matches the size and complexity of our company today.
As our new Senior Internal Communications Manager, you would play a key role in keeping our global employee population engaged and informed of what is happening at Wolt, including how we are doing as a company, what our priorities are, and how everyone can contribute to the success of Wolt as we continue to grow and mature.
In this role, you would report to the Head of Internal Communications for Wolt, who is based at our Helsinki HQ. In addition, you would work closely with a wide range of internal stakeholders, including our leadership, the wider Wolt Communications team, and our other HQ teams, such as our People and Legal, to communicate about topics that touch all of our employees.
Some of your core responsibilities in this role would include
- Developing and executing strategies for company-wide internal announcements
- Running global internal communications projects and campaigns from strategy to execution.
- Supporting Wolt’s leadership and our different functions in communicating about topics that concern all employees.
- Creating a wide range of internal communications content (written, digital, in-person, etc.), and also sourcing ideas of interesting content to share with our employees. Maintaining a robust editorial calendar.
- Participating in the production of our company-wide monthly All Hands, including content creation, coaching speakers, etc.
- Crisis communications.
- Managing our internal communications channels.
- Advising our countries in best practices when it comes to internal communications.
- Managing agency work.
Qualities we’re looking for
- Extensive experience in internal communications in an international setting, either in-house or in an agency. We’re primarily looking for a person who has focused full-time on internal communications, but a hybrid internal/external communications role is a great background, too, provided that internal communications has been a meaningful part of your job for at least 4+ years.
- A strong track record in successfully running global internal communications projects and campaigns from strategy to execution.
- Experience and interest in change and crisis communications.
- Experience in managing employee communications channels, such as Slack, intranet, etc.
- Proven ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including the required seniority and confidence to act as comms advisor to senior leadership.
- Outstanding project management skills, and ability to drive projects independently and with confidence. Great prioritization skills are also a must to help navigate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent writing skills in English, and the ability to adjust the tone of voice depending on the target audience and distill complex topics into simple messages.
- Sound judgment and decision-making ability in a fast-paced environment, coupled with flexibility and resilience to adjust plans on the go.
- Attention to detail and a high bar for your work and the work of others.
- Ability to occasionally participate in calls outside of European business hours due to our close partnership with DoorDash.
- Ability to occasionally travel abroad.
What you’ll get by joining us
- Chance to join the team at a pivotal time and be an active contributor in designing our internal communications strategy.
- Opportunity to work with an inspiring group of talented and ambitious Comms professionals, who also happen to be incredibly fun and nice people.
- Lots of learning and growth opportunities.
- Competitive compensation.
