Wolt is more than just a food delivery operation – in fact we are built upon a solid foundation of state-of-the-art technology. Our Product+ organization which includes all of product development (engineering, design, product management and analytics), has grown from mere 20 people to 1000+ in the space of 7 years thanks to the efforts of this team. Our product development organization has more depth than meets the eye; Wolt builds almost all systems and tools it needs in-house, meaning we have 30+ teams working on 10+ different products.
Our Product+ talent acquisition team is currently a passionate team of 20+ split between our offices in Berlin. Helsinki and Stockholm, and formed into two teams; one focusing on Engineering hiring, and the other on Product Management, Design and Analytics. We hire for roles across 7 locations; mostly in Finland, Sweden and Germany, but also occasionally in Japan, Estonia, Denmark and Israel.
This role is accountable for our hiring success and TA team for our global engineering organization, reporting to Laura 👋. You will have 10-15 direct reports and about 250-340 annual hires to deliver depending on the year. You operate through the three facets of leadership; people, business impact and processes. For the “people” you’ll be responsible for your team’s overall excellence in delivery, capacity planning, team engagement and day-to-day support on problem solving. For “business impact” you work closely with your stakeholder population and the business to understand & drive change, building meaningful strategies and implementing changes where talent acquisition can make a difference for the better. For “process”, you ensure we keep ahead of the curve in how we do the most effective hiring, advise your team on best practices, look for opportunities of improvement and rally the team behind them.
What you'll be doing
- Leading a large global team of 10-15 Talent Acquisition professionals focused on Engineering hiring
- Ensure your team has the skills, tools and resources needed to support the hiring goals of your departments and teams
- Cultivate a healthy and high performing team, owning performance and delivery output of the team, monitoring KPI’s and exploring opportunities to improve team delivery.
- Coaching and mentoring your team through 1:1’s, providing feedback, goal setting and career planning.
- Building and owning a hiring strategy for engineering that enables the business to scale up; including effective sourcing strategies, process & tools, diversity, talent brand & marketing, and operational excellence
- Partnering with senior business leaders to proactively understand business goals in order to drive the right impact with our talent acquisition strategy
- Explore valuable data and metrics to seek ways of improving quality & efficiency at every step, taking proactive steps to use data to inform decisions and produce stakeholder reporting
- Facilitate daily work and rituals: work allocation & prioritization, weeklies, retrospectives, workshops, stakeholder syncs etc.
- Lead and/or initiate projects aligned with OKR’s or business priorities
- Collaborate with other teams (such as employer branding, recruitment operations, HRBP’s, global mobility, compensation & benefits) to ensure effective partnerships and the right level of support to enable your team’s success.
- Driving exceptional quality - both in candidate experience and in your partnerships with internal stakeholders. We don’t settle, we strive for excellence and do uncommon things uncommonly well at every opportunity.
- Preparing reporting and communicating effectively (both verbally and written) to various stakeholders, f.ex. our department VP’s and directors and hiring managers.
Our humble expectation
- Robust experience leading a large tech focused talent acquisition team
- Previous hands-on experience in recruiting for engineering through all levels, proven track record of filling said roles
- Strong examples of driving meaningful hiring strategies aligned with business needs
- Strong relationship building skills
- Excellent organizational abilities and strong attention to detail - knowing how to spin the plates and plan your time accordingly
- Experience of a growth organization: building a team and hiring efficiently and effectively at scale and with high volumes
- Ability to lead and influence through data, build data driven narratives and make data informed decisions
- Be able to collaborate and communicate clearly both verbally and in written form in English
