Job Overview

We are looking for a unique individual who can seamlessly blend expertise in marketing, finance, and data while managing regional portfolio allocation to drive growth. This role is not just about marketing execution—it’s about balancing investments across countries, optimizing strategies, and exceeding regional targets.

As the Regional Marketing Director, you will take full ownership of marketing execution across the region, ensuring the right team, strategy, and operating model are in place to elevate performance. The goal is building the regional marketing team, establishing best practices, and driving strong business impact to reach our ambitious growth goals.

You will report to the VP of Growth Marketing and work closely with key stakeholders, including:

  • Regional General Manager (GM) to align marketing with overall business growth
  • Finance teams to optimize marketing investments and efficiency
  • Consumer business team to drive adoption of strategic products such as Wolt+ and our new Delivery Verticals (e.g. retail products, groceries)
  • Regional teams (Sales, Ops) to ensure regional strategies are effectively executed at a market level
  • Central functions such as product, operations, and partnerships to unlock new growth levers

Key Responsibilities

Growth Strategy & Portfolio Management

  • Develop and execute a regional marketing strategy that balances growth across different markets while maximizing overall impact.
  • Own the regional marketing investment portfolio, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently across countries and channels.
  • Partner with finance teams to build business cases for marketing investments, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify and scale effective growth levers, spanning paid marketing, organic initiatives, and innovative approaches.

Full Consumer Budget Management

  • Own and manage the entire regional consumer marketing budget, ensuring the optimal balance between growth objectives—GOV (Gross Order Volume), new user acquisition, and efficiency.
  • Allocate investment across different marketing layers, including brand building, tactical campaigns, and brand activations, to maximize short-term impact while sustaining long-term growth.
  • Work closely with finance and leadership teams to ensure marketing spend aligns with business priorities and delivers strong ROI.

Performance & Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Leverage data and analytics to optimize campaigns and improve marketing efficiency.
  • Track and improve key growth metrics such as customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), and payback periods.
  • Continuously experiment with new marketing approaches to drive sustainable and scalable growth.

Team Building & Leadership

  • Hire, structure, and develop a high-performing regional marketing team.
  • Elevate the level of marketing expertise in the region by attracting top talent.
  • Foster a culture of agility, experimentation, and performance-driven execution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Innovation

  • Work closely with the Regional GM and local teams to ensure marketing strategies align with overall business objectives.
  • Partner with product, operations, and consumer business teams to drive adoption of key initiatives.
  • Explore and implement new acquisition channels, partnerships, and non-traditional marketing opportunities.

  • Internationally experienced, with a strong understanding of scaling across multiple markets ideally in App, Ecom, Gaming verticals.
  • Skilled leader who can build, develop, and inspire a high-performing team.
  • Innovative and creative, always looking for new ways to drive impact beyond traditional marketing tactics.
