Job description
Our Courier Payroll Support Team is looking for a Payroll Associate who will work closely with the team to ensure smooth and effective communication between the payroll function and our couriers in Germany and in future Austria.

We are currently experiencing a period of hyper growth in Germany and Austria, to meet this demand we are now looking for you to join our team as Payroll Associate.
This is a truly unique opportunity to be part of a Payroll team in one of the fastest growing companies in Europe and have the chance to really contribute to what a modern payroll looks like, with the goal of providing world class payroll and service to all our couriers. This role is open in Berlin, Germany; Budapest, Hungary, and Bratislava, Slovakia.
What you’ll be doing
- Performs regular daily operations leading to ensuring accurate and timely execution of Payroll within their scope. Perform reconciliations and controls in the regular payroll process
- Assists internal customers and stakeholders and coordinates payroll activities. Manage employees’ payroll-related queries (and escalations) and proactive communication on payroll legislative changes.
- Participate in continual review and update of country standard solutions to identify and adapt to legal changes and incorporate them into all design documents and other material to maintain country compliance.
- Deliver results on key performance areas for payroll metrics and issue management process.
- Project Management – is accountable for process improvement projects. Works as part of a wider project team.
Qualifications
- Experience and passion for payroll and payroll-related technology and processes.
- Previous experience in payroll operations and Workday (or other enterprise HR systems) is a strong advantage.
- You are a strong communicator, with high working proficiency in English.
- You enjoy taking ownership and solving problems proactively.
- You know how to use MS Excel proficiently, familiarity with ADP is a plus.
- You work well in a team and are entirely comfortable collaborating remotely and dynamically using digital tools such as Slack and Zoom.
