Wolt is a Helsinki-based technology company that provides an online platform for consumers, merchants and couriers. It connects people looking to order food and other goods with people interested in selling and delivering them. To enable this, Wolt develops a wide range of technologies from local logistics to retail software and financial solutions – as well as operating its own grocery stores under the Yuho’s Supermarkt brand. Wolt’s products include Wolt+ (subscription service for customers), Wolt for Work (meal benefits and office deliveries for companies), Wolt Drive (fast last-mile deliveries for merchants) and Wolt Self-Delivery (service for merchant partners with their own delivery staff). Wolt’s mission is to make cities better by empowering and growing local communities. Wolt was founded in 2014 and joined forces with DoorDash in 2022. DoorDash operates in 29 countries today, 25 of which are with the Wolt product and brand.

Strategy & Operations at Wolt – Driving Impact, Locally and Globally

In this role, you'll play a critical part in executing Wolt's strategy in Germany, with a strong focus on supporting the Frankfurt region. You'll collaborate closely with local teams to optimize operations, drive performance, and tackle challenges head-on—ensuring that Frankfurt not only meets, but exceeds its growth potential. This is an opportunity to roll up your sleeves, think strategically, and lead initiatives that influence both regional success and Wolt’s broader market evolution.
What you’ll be doing
- Actively support the Frankfurt region by working closely with local teams to drive performance, address challenges, and implement initiatives that strengthen our regional presence
- Continuously monitor and diagnose city performance through a comprehensive 360° lens, leveraging analytics to extract actionable insights.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement high-impact initiatives that improve key performance areas and drive both top-line growth and bottom-line efficiency.
- Guide and align local teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations) to ensure focused and effective execution of strategic priorities.
- Own full P&L accountability for your area, with a clear focus on financial health and performance optimization.
- Develop and scale regional playbooks, ensuring best practices are documented, repeatable, and tailored for local context.
- Demonstrate strong executive presence, influencing stakeholders and driving alignment at all levels of the organization.
- Lead project management efforts on high-priority topics, ensuring timely delivery and measurable impact where needed.
Our humble expectations
- Experience: 6+ years in corporate strategy, business development or other related roles in industries such as tech, management consulting or investment banking,. Experience in high-growth startups is highly desirable.
- Leadership & Influence: Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, thrive in ambiguity, and lead cross-functional initiatives independently in a fast-moving environment.
- Execution Excellence: A strong executor with a track record of turning strategy into action—you know how to move from idea to impact with precision, urgency, and attention to detail
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with a strong eye for detail and a talent for turning complex information into compelling narratives.
- Analytical Acumen: Outstanding data analysis and problem-solving skills—you bring clarity to complexity and can translate insights into clear, actionable strategies. Solid Excel skills required.
- Customer-Centric Thinking: A history of building scalable, impactful solutions that prioritize the customer and anticipate future growth needs.
- Ownership Mindset: You’re proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented. If something needs doing, you get it done—even if it’s outside your official role.
