About Wolt
At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.
Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.
Are you a service-minded communicator who enjoys solving problems for restaurant partners? Are you detail-oriented and enjoy testing out new ideas? If this sounds like you, then we’d love to chat!
Wolt is a Finnish technology company and we’re best known for our food delivery platform. We launched in Germany in the autumn of 2019, and have since been conquering the food delivery scene step by step.
As a result of Wolt’s rapid expansion and the plans we have for 2026, we need an SMB Account Management Team Lead to support the Account Management team in the West Region (Cologne and surroundings).
This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for one of Wolt’s largest and most strategically important markets in Germany.
You’ll report directly to the Head of SMB Account Management and work closely with cross-functional leaders (Operations, Sales, Product, Marketing, etc.) to shape strategy and execution in the region.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and Develop the West Region Team: Manage, mentor, and empower a team of up to 15 Account Managers (including a sub-Team Lead) to achieve ambitious goals.
- Strategic Regional Ownership: Take full accountability for the performance, growth, and partner satisfaction of the entire West region.
- Data-Driven Leadership: Dive deep into data and performance metrics to uncover insights, identify challenges, and set actionable plans for your team.
- OKR & Target Management: Define, track, and drive performance against clear OKRs and growth targets, ensuring consistent delivery on key business objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with key leaders across the organization (CX, Ops, Product, Marketing, etc.) to improve processes, tools, and partner experience.
- Hands-On Partner Management: Maintain strong relationships with key strategic restaurant partners, drive performance improvements, and lead negotiations when necessary.
- Leadership by Example: Foster a high-performance, feedback-oriented culture where people are empowered, engaged, and aligned with Wolt’s values.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging data and analytics to optimize efficiency and partner success.
Our Humble Expectations
- Academic Background (Mandatory): University degree in Business, Economics, Management, or related field.
- Proven Leadership Experience: Multiple years of experience leading and developing teams, ideally in a Manager-of-Managers capacity within a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
- Corporate or Structured Environment Experience: Experience from large-scale organizations (e.g., Amazon, Google, Meta, or top-tier consulting firms) is highly valued.
- Functional Expertise: Solid background in Account Management, Category Management, or E-commerce Operations — not pure sales.
- Analytical Mindset: Comfortable working with data, building reports, and using insights to drive performance and decision-making.
- Target & OKR Experience: Demonstrated experience managing and delivering against OKRs and KPIs.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills in both German and English.
- Cultural Fit: Entrepreneurial, collaborative, and resilient — with a passion for food, local business, and technology.
