What is Wolt Drive?
Wolt Drive is “delivery-as-a-service” and the fastest way to get any online purchases delivered to the doorstep - providing an affordable ultra-fast last-mile delivery option for businesses as well as consumers. In simple words, we bring Wolt’s logistics network to merchants’ own channels such as websites and apps. We believe that every business - small or large - should be able to connect with their customers instantly and we will provide the engine to do so. We already have an industry-leading last-mile logistics platform and partnerships with thousands of riders across countries and can now offer that solution to partners outside of the Wolt Platform.
About the role
We are building a new business within the business and need a true owner to develop this new vertical. The potential is huge and we are thus looking for a sales/strategy/business development professional that is excited in playing a key role in disrupting the last mile logistics industry. As Business Development Manager for Wolt Drive, you will make an impact on Wolt Drive’s business in Sweden with everything it entails. You will report directly to the Head of Wolt Drive who is a member of the Country Lead Team. The role involves tight collaboration with Wolt’s partners as well as the internal teams to build a winning proposition for the market. We have a great base to start from, and your focus will be to establish and scale this business in Sweden.
What you’ll be doing
- Working with new potential partners managing the sales process from A to Z. This includes researching leads, prospecting, conducting meetings, negotiating terms, stakeholder coordination, and closing deals.
- Being the partners' trusted advisor, helping them overcome any issues related to Wolt Drive with an E2E mindset. e.g. with regards to 3p software requirements in the online ordering- and point-of-sales- space.
- Driving and managing growth of the existing partners together with them.
- Supporting our Restaurant and Retail sales teams to develop opportunities for expanding our existing Wolt Platform partnerships to Wolt Drive.
- Tracking and analyzing operational performance, and proactively engaging the right internal stakeholders to improve it.
- Making sound business decisions by using data to support your intuition.
- Owning internal projects and working closely with cross-functional and cross-border teams (Drive Global, Product, Analytics, Marketing, Operations, Support and others) to succeed in all of the above.
Our humble expectations
- 3 years+ experience in consultative sales, management consulting / business development, account management, or similar. SaaS, marketplace, eCommerce, or last-mile logistic-related sales experience is considered an advantage.
- Ability to close partnerships and build relationships, and a proven track record of internal and external stakeholder management to make deals and projects come to life.
- Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Good analytical skills - such as translating data into actions, analyzing sales metrics and pricing models, and producing relevant KPIs. Experience in Excel and a Business Intelligence software are considered an advantage (we mainly use Google Sheets and Google Looker at Wolt).
- Fluency in Swedish and English.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on attitude - This is a start-up within a scale-up!
