We are looking for an Analytics Lead to join Wolt’s Merchant mission in Helsinki or Stockholm!
About the role
As an Analytics Lead at Wolt, you’ll take charge of the Merchant Ops Team, balancing hands-on analytics work with people management responsibilities. Experience in Product and Operations would be a significant advantage. Lead and grow a team of talented data scientists
Set the strategic direction for all analytical work within the Merchant domain
Establish a solid experimentation culture with your Product and operational stakeholders
Coach your team and participate hands-on in developing new metrics for the business
This role combines scientific expertise with stakeholder engagement, placing you at the forefront of driving business outcomes. You will collaborate closely with the Product, Engineering, Design, and Operations teams to guide measurement strategies and tactical decisions, helping to expand the Wolt platform globally.

Drive strategic decision-making within the whole Merchant Group.
Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
Have 5+ years of experience in a data science or analytics position within an industry or research setting
Have 2+ years of experience in team leadership within an industry or research setting, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and influence cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals and deliver exceptional results.
Expertise in statistical analysis, including hypothesis testing, experimentation, and regression analysis using statistical software packages in Python, Matlab, R, or equivalent
Proficiency in writing structured and efficient SQL queries for large data sets
Relentless pursuit of new ideas and data sources, and have the ability to systematically tackle ambiguous problems with a data-driven, hypothesis-based approach
Be analytical, inquisitive, and a self-starter who is motivated to achieve results and collaborate with colleagues both inside and outside of the team
