About Wolt
At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.
Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.
We are looking for a Strategy & Operations Manager to join the Consumer Pricing & Incentives team, which owns the development and execution of Wolt’s consumer-facing pricing and incentive schemes across all markets with the aim of driving growth and best-in-class customer experience in a capital efficient manner.
You will be responsible for (i) conceiving and leading development projects in the domain; (ii) doing whatever it takes to reach given financial and operational targets related to both top and bottom line performance; and (iii) shaping and driving our long-term Pricing & Incentives strategy. To get the job done, you’ll work closely with other teams, e.g. General Managers, Product, Analytics, Marketing and Finance, while taking full ownership of driving your initiatives to fruition and tangible results.
This is your opportunity to join one of the most successful growth companies in Europe and improve the daily lives of millions of people!
Our team has clear, measurable targets in terms of how much growth we generate and at what cost. Your day-to-day job will consist of a wide range of activities that contribute to meeting those targets. In practice, you will:
Lead cross-team projects that drive step-change improvements in how we do Pricing and Incentives. Such projects might include, for example, developing new incentive schemes to boost the adoption of new offerings or optimizing our fee levels for faster growth
Track key performance indicators in the domain and, where necessary, drive corrective action. Such actions might include, for example, doing price changes in select parts of the business or reallocating our incentive spend across different use cases to boost performance
Run experiments, analyze the results and make decisions on how we run the business based on the insights in close collaboration with Data Scientists
Collaborate with General Managers and their teams to ensure our Pricing & Incentives execution is aligned with local strategy and competitive landscape across the 25+ markets where we operate
Roll-out and optimize how we apply new product features, making sure that they perform as intended and guiding further development based on customer feedback
Keep a close eye on our customer experience and how it compares to peers and e-commerce benchmarks with the aim to identifying improvement opportunities and ensuring we’re the leading alternative from consumers’ perspective
Shape our long-term plans related to business strategy and product development in the domain to ensure we move in the right direction and focus on things that will yield the most impact
- 3+ years of relevant experience preferably in (i) pricing and/or incentives in a comparable industry, (ii) strategy & operations in a top tier tech/platform company or (iii) management consulting
Problem-solving skills: our team is in the business of solving hard problems and developing new solutions. There’s rarely a handbook that we can refer to. Hence, you need to be ingenious and relentless at solving hairy business problems, not just in the abstract but also on the lowest level of detail
People & project management skills: you’ll need to be able to inspire and persuade colleagues from a broad spectrum of backgrounds in a cross-team setting and get them to work towards one goal in a coordinated, collaborative and efficient manner
Drive, ownership and independence: you’ll be given a lot of responsibility and freedom in terms of how to get stuff done. In exchange, you’ll need to be comfortable and effective at being in the driver’s seat in your initiatives
Analytical skills: you’ll work with data every single day. Spreadsheet mastery is a must-have, and you’ll often find SQL & Python useful. While we’re not expecting you to be an expert, you’ll benefit from having an elementary understanding of experimentation, causal inference, predictive modeling and optimization so that you can collaborate effectively with Data Scientists
- Business acumen and eye for superb user experience: you’ll need to be able to see the forest for the trees and have good intuition about what works best for our customers to ensure that we focus on solving the right problems and solve them in the right way
