As a Wolt General Manager (GM), you will be accountable for your market and your market’s P&L as well as ensuring close collaboration and alignment across the different global teams that are supporting your market (operations, support, marketing, legal, comms, etc). While our global teams ensure we have a strong, efficient and scalable core, your main mission is to drive capital efficient growth and improve profitability of your market by leading our various commercial teams and being the company’s most senior executive on the ground.

What you’ll be doing:

Strategic growth: You will set the vision for the growth of your market, develop and execute strategies to accelerate market penetration, drive user acquisition, and increase order volume. You will identify emerging trends and opportunities that will allow us to continue growing the market and stay ahead of the competition. 

Commercial success: You will lead our various commercial teams across Restaurants, New Verticals, Drive, Ads as well as potential new business lines Wolt launches in your market. You will lead our efforts to have the broadest and most in-depth selection in the market while ensuring healthy unit economics by negotiating healthy commission levels and investments in promos and ads.

Key partnership development: As the most senior executive in your market, you will open doors and build relationships with the biggest local players in your market. You will cultivate strong relationships with merchants and other strategic partners (such as local banks, telco companies, airlines, etc,.) to expand our network and enhance our offerings. You will negotiate partnerships and contracts to deliver exclusive deals and promotions that delight our customers. 

Operational excellence: You will champion customer experience of your market, proactively addressing feedback and resolving issues to exceed expectations. You will follow your market NPS and customer insights closely and monitor end-to-end operations from order placement to delivery. If something doesn’t work in your market, it’s your responsibility to flag it and collaborate with our teams to ensure seamless execution and exceptional customer experience. You will leverage customer insights to improve our product offering and drive customer loyalty across all our core audiences.

Team leadership & culture: You ensure that we continue to operate as one Wolt, encouraging collaboration between different teams. You will participate in key hiring decisions for roles that support your market, run the country monthly business reviews and all hands meetings, inspire and empower our teams to achieve ambitious goals and deliver outstanding results. You drive energy to win your market into the organization by demanding velocity, setting the bar for excellence and determining what to focus on.

Office environment: You will ensure we have a welcoming office environment for our team members that meets their needs and ensure high office attendance within your team, including by leading by example. You will work with our People team to create meaningful engagements around holidays, key events, and development sessions with external speakers. 

Communications & regulatory compliance: As Wolt’s most senior executive on the ground, you will be the spokesperson of Wolt in your local market, representing Wolt in media, conferences and key regulatory engagements. You will work with our Communications team to continually elevate Wolt's brand and drive positive customer sentiment as well as position Wolt as an employer of choice.

  • You have managed large teams with multiple direct reports and sub teams in a growth environment.
  • You have a background in high growth and scale companies or commercial/sales roles or management consulting.
  • You have solid experience working in leadership, strategy and business development.
  • You have good understanding and interest in e-commerce and q-commerce industry 
  • You have been involved with recruiting and have a strong eye for top talent.
  • You have an analytical and strategic mindset where you will be able to make
  • data-driven decisions.
  • P&L experience is necessary as you’ll be responsible for owning your new market and building the operation from scratch.
  • You have great interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a structured way.
  • Fluent in English, Russian, Uzbek is a plus
