Are you ready to take on a dynamic leadership role in a fast-growing global company? As a Team Lead for People Services (Tier 1), you’ll oversee and guide a new and talented team of People Associates within our new Hub in Hungary. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a key function that provides essential HR support to half of Wolt’s countries - and we’re only just getting started! With plans to expand our services globally, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our Tier 1 HR team and driving operational and service excellence across multiple regions.

In this role, you'll not only manage day-to-day HR operations but also foster team growth, support process improvements, and ensure seamless HR services delivery. What you’ll do:

Team Leadership and Supervision:

  • Supervise a team of around ten People Associates, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
  • Monitor team performance, set clear goals, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Ensure that the team adheres to company policies and procedures.

Day-to-Day HR Support:

  • Oversee the handling of day-to-day HR inquiries from employees across different countries.
  • Ensure that HR support is efficient, accurate, and meets the needs of employees.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for complex HR issues, ensuring timely resolution.

Knowledge transfer and launch:

  • Collaborate with Tier 2 HR teams to ensure a smooth transition of tasks to the People Associates in Tier 1 team
  • Oversee the creation of process documentation and knowledge transfer milestones
  • Ensure an effective back-upping system is in place for the country deliverables in scope

Operational Excellence:

  • Implement and maintain HR processes and systems to improve efficiency and service delivery.
  • Drive manager and employee self-service adoption. 
  • Support the onboarding of new employees into the HR system, Workday, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely salary payments.

Team Development:

  • Provide training and development opportunities for People Associates to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that aligns with company values.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify areas for process improvement and work with the team to implement changes.
  • Gather feedback from employees and use it to enhance the HR support services offered.

 

Our humble expectations

  • Position holder must be based in Hungary and able to attend the office 4+ days per week
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • People management skills; fostering learning and development within your team
  • Experience in managing employee lifecycle processes and continuous improvement
  • Experience in working with HR service delivery and metrics
  • HR and ERP systems knowledge; plus if specifically with Workday and Quinyx
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
