Role Background
Our Finance team has played a key role in this journey - supporting our global operations from several hubs has been no easy feat, but this group of dedicated and motivated professionals have made it seem effortless!
As we continue to scale, we’re now looking for an Accounts Payable Team Lead. You will sit with the local country and finance team in Hungary but you will work directly with the centralized Finance team in Helsinki HQ and other local teams in Wolt countries.
What makes the Finance team so special is our ‘service first’ approach to the job - we enjoy creating strong communication loops with the wider business, so that bottlenecks are minimized and that things get done quickly and efficiently.
Everybody is accountable for their own workload and takes pride in being meticulous and precise. We also enjoy learning and developing as we go - it’s important that you share this approach! :)
In this role you’ll be leading a sub-team of Junior/Senior Accountants, responsible for the daily management of AP-related tasks for a certain set of our Wolt Market entities globally.
Opportunity to lead with example in a fast-changing environment. Facilitate new entity launches from AP perspective.
What you’ll be doing
Day-to-day in this role you’ll:
- Oversee invoice processing
- Oversee issue resolution, manage escalations
- Ensure a timely AP Cycle from booking steps until passing along invoices to payment team
- Tool implementation/development
- Manage/establish KPIs
Our humble expectations*
- At least 1-2 years of People management experience
- Change management experience
- Solid AP knowledge and domain expertise
- Keen eyes for Process improvement
- Prior experience with AI Tools is a plus
- You’re based and are eligible to work in Hungary.
