Wolt was founded in 2014 and joined forces with DoorDash in 2022. DoorDash operates in 31 countries today, 27 of which are with the Wolt product and brand.

The behind the scenes of Wolt is run by an awesome bunch of over 700+ planners, builders, designers and data crunchers. We call ourselves Product+, as we’re the very core of Wolt’s products, tools and platforms. To build our products, we work in over 60 cross-functional, independent and autonomous teams. Teams are made up of a mix of talented individuals: engineers, designers, data scientists, analysts, and product leads. Each team takes ownership for solving customer problems in the best possible way.

Who are we looking for?
Wolt’s service was launched in Japan in 2020 and since joining forces with DoorDash a few years back, we have now grown into a few product development teams locally in Japan. We are now looking for a new Web Engineer to build our team!
As a web engineer on the Rewards team, you’ll collaborate with skilled web and backend engineers, along with our product lead and designer, to work closely with business and operations teams. Together, you’ll design and implement pricing configurations in our internal tools and run A/B testing experiments, all aimed at achieving the perfect balance between customer satisfaction and company profitability. Your work will directly impact how millions of customers experience pricing on our platform!
Experience
If you …
- Are a self-driven and experienced Web developer with at least 1-2 years of experience building high-quality software, familiar with modern technologies and cloud platforms.
- Are familiar with React & TypeScript.
- Enjoy building high quality & impactful ecommerce websites.
- thrive in a collaborative environment that spans across teams and countries, and you have the autonomy, ownership, and communication skills to drive projects—whether working independently or with a team.
- Enjoy a hybrid working environment – we ask that you be based in the Tokyo area.
