The People Team at Wolt consists of about 200 HR, Payroll and Talent Acquisition professionals located in Helsinki, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Budapest, Prague, Berlin, Tel-Aviv, Tallinn, Athens, Tbilisi, Tokyo and more. We’re a global People function, well-respected by the people and teams that we support and partner with. 

To support our next stage of growth, we are seeking an experienced HR business partner or leader to join our People Team in Germany. You will take on HR partnership responsibilities for our operations in Germany, helping to drive our continued expansion and success in this key market. Currently, we have approximately 1000 employees in our German operations.

As a People Partner in Germany, you will work closely with local leadership to drive both short- and long-term initiatives focused on people and culture. Your role will be essential in delivering an outstanding employee life cycle experience and building a world-class employee environment.

Given our rapid scale-up, this role will require a hands-on approach, while also leading, coaching, and supporting local teams. With significant growth opportunities ahead, you will be joining at a critical time to help drive our success in the German market.

 

What You’ll Be Doing 

 

  • Partnering with local leadership: Collaborate with our in-country leads to drive the people agenda and address all HR-related topics, ensuring an excellent employee experience in Germany.

  • Change management and culture development: Support and execute initiatives aimed at enhancing our culture and managing change within the organization.

  • Coaching and advisory: Provide guidance to team leads on people-related matters such as feedback, performance management, compensation, benefits, and employment law.

  • Competence and leadership development: Work closely with the People Development team to coordinate training and leadership development for our growing teams.

  • Organizational design: Contribute to organizational design and scaling strategies, ensuring our teams evolve alongside business needs.

  • Employment relations: Take the lead on managing escalated employment relations cases in collaboration with the Legal and HR Operations teams.

  • Knowledge sharing and events: Drive initiatives that promote knowledge-sharing and nurture our company culture through events and other engagement activities.

  • Global collaboration: Work closely with Global HR teams to implement best practices and support global HR initiatives

Our humble expectations

  • HR Expertise: A solid HR background with at least 7 years of experience in People Partner or HR leadership roles in a multi-country or tech environment.

  • Adaptability: Ability to tailor core people processes to the specific needs of local teams while maintaining alignment with global HR strategies.

  • Strong communicator: Near-native fluency in English, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Problem-solving attitude: A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong networking skills and a willingness to take initiative.

  • Remote collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a remote team environment, with strong experience using digital tools such as Slack and Zoom to ensure seamless collaboration across locations.
