The People team at Wolt currently consists of 100+ HR, Payroll, and Talent Acquisition professionals located in Helsinki, Copenhagen, Berlin, Tel-Aviv, Tbilisi, Budapest, Zagreb, and Tokyo.We always strive for global scalability, modern processes, and automation, and therefore we prioritize systems development in every area of the business. With this attitude, during 2021 the People team has launched platforms like Workday, Altshare, and Charles Schwab, while simultaneously beginning the rollout of Quinyx and changing our payroll vendor to ADP. We are going through rapid growth in our global payroll team, and we are looking for a Payroll Associate located in Bratislava, with an end-to-end understanding of payroll processes and ideally payroll experience from both in-house and outsourced payroll. What you’ll be doing
- Manage DACH payroll processes by overseeing the receipt, validation, and completion of payroll-related data activities.
- Deliver a world-class employee payroll experience when delivering payroll services and when customers need help while resolving any issues with a root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Work closely with our HR and Finance teams daily and in all project activities, and ensure that the global design turns into local best practice payroll processes.
- Support our HR team in the hands-on collection, calculation, and entering of payroll data, where not yet part of our HCM to Payroll integration.
- Ensure the integrity of payroll data across integrated HR and payroll systems, and promptly identify and rectify any discrepancies.
- Contributes towards a few development projects that impact the payroll function Woltwide, and other payroll or business lead change activities.
- Providing support to Global Payroll Transformation with payroll projects including payroll vendor change, system integrations, country expansions, and automation of various payroll processes (e.g.: data gathering, testing, etc.).
- Support payroll teammates with any side activities with their countries such as data collection, employee queries, or off-cycle payments, and when necessary, back up your teammate to deliver payroll services.
- Create, maintain, and improve payroll process documentation.
- Take ownership of your development plan and collaborate with your Team Lead to achieve your goals.
- Fulfill any additional tasks as assigned by the Team Lead.
Our humble expectations
- You have a good understanding of core payroll management and processes.
- Experience and passion for payroll and payroll-related technology and processes.
- Previous experience in payroll operations and Workday (or other enterprise HR systems) is considered a strong advantage.
- Good knowledge of tax and social security law in the DACH Region
- Familiarity with personnel systems such as the German Social Security Declaration Portal and experience with ADP Celergo is a plus
- You are a strong communicator, with high working proficiency in English and German.
- You enjoy taking ownership and solving problems proactively.
- You know how to use MS Excel proficiently.
- You work well in a team and are completely comfortable collaborating remotely and dynamically using digital tools such as Slack and Zoom.
