About Wolt

At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.

Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.

Are you a detail-oriented team player excited to dive into the foundation of Delivery Operations at Wolt by working in the Courier Gear team? Do you enjoy working in a highly-dynamic environment? Are you a problem-solver who loves optimizing processes and making operations run smoothly? Someone who is passionate about helping others, be they friends, customers, partners or colleagues? If this sounds like you, we'd love to chat!

Role background

Our Courier Gear Team is responsible for providing high-quality gear to thousands of courier partners across nine countries in Northern Europe. Whether it’s newly onboarded couriers receiving their first set of gear, active partners needing a replacement, or those returning their equipment after moving on, our goal is to ensure a smooth and seamless experience at every stage.

As an Operations Specialist in the Courier Gear Team, you will play a key role in overseeing and improving gear distribution operations. You will manage webshops, track inventory levels, and ensure that courier partners receive their gear efficiently. Your mission is to make the entire journey—from ordering to delivery—as user-friendly and seamless as possible.

Beyond daily operations, you’ll lead projects focused on process improvement and streamlining workflows, ensuring that gear management remains scalable and efficient as Wolt continues to grow. You’ll work closely with our Courier Onboarding Team and collaborate with ambitious, like-minded colleagues who are passionate about creating the best possible experience for our courier partners.

No two days in this role are the same! You’ll need to be adaptable, self-motivated, and proactive in tackling challenges as they arise. Strong interpersonal skills and a people-first mindset are essential—we think people first at all times! If you’re excited by fast-paced environments and love improving processes that have a direct impact, we’d love to hear from you!

What you'll be doing

  • Managing the end-to-end courier gear operations, from procurement and inventory management to distribution and returns.
  • Supply change management and overseeing the account management of multiple warehouses, ensuring smooth inventory handling, optimizing distribution, and maintaining efficient supply chain processes.
  • Working closely with internal teams (Operations, Finance, Support, etc) to optimize gear-related processes, reduce costs, and improve courier satisfaction.
  • Analyzing data on gear usage, courier feedback, and operational costs to drive improvements and efficiency.
  • Owning gear-related support processes, resolving courier inquiries, and addressing any issues related to gear distribution or quality.
  • Assisting with budget planning, forecasting gear needs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Documenting, optimizing and rolling out gear-related workflows, creating guidelines and playbooks to ensure consistency across markets
  • Building a regional structure with a unified gear handling and adoption model to improve consistency and efficiency.

Our humble expectations

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills – You’ll collaborate with colleagues across multiple countries in Northern Europe, so clear and effective communication is essential. Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required; proficiency in Nordic or Baltic languages is a plus.
  • Data-Driven Mindset – You enjoy working with numbers, analyzing trends, and making data-backed decisions. Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Looker, or Google Sheets is highly valued.
  • Operational & Problem-Solving Skills – You can handle high volumes of work, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities. Previous experience in operations, logistics, customer service, or similar fields is a bonus.
  • Process Optimization & Attention to Detail – You are highly detail-oriented and capable of structuring and refining workflows. Experience documenting processes and creating guidelines/playbooks is beneficial.
  • Tech Savviness & Quick Learning Ability – You are comfortable with digital tools and can quickly adapt to new systems. Experience with platforms like Iterable, Monday, and Looker is a plus.
  • Proactive & Hands-On Attitude – You are a self-starter who takes ownership, drives improvements, and isn’t afraid to get involved in both strategic and operational tasks.
