What you’ll be doing
You’ll be tasked with building and managing your own pipeline of Enterprise Retail (e.g. big businesses only) partners to approach and sign up to Wolt. This requires a good understanding of both the most appropriate retailers across various verticals to prioritise, as well as strong communication and negotiation skills to get your targets through the sales funnel.
As time progresses and more Retail partners are onboarded, the role's targets and duties may evolve. Wolt is a mature company with a start-up heart and Retail is at the core of making new and exciting stuff happen. You must thrive in a no-frills, ambitious, dynamic environment with a shark’s sense for hunting the best partnerships to make Wolt the #1 Retail quick-commerce choice in Czechia.
Day-to-day in this role you’ll:
- Market research, seeking out and finding suitable retailers for the Wolt platform based on what Wolt customers currently desire most.
- Creatively reaching out to potential partners across various regions of the country and establishing new relationships.
- Explaining the real benefits of partnering with the Wolt platform to businesses that sometimes have no experience with e-commerce.
- Negotiating business, marketing, and expansion terms of cooperation with both small shops and large enterprises, leading to long-term partnerships.
- Managing the pipeline end-to-end, leading them to the finish line.
- Adjusting your focus based on team strategy and always prioritising team goals.
- Communicating with potential partners in person, online, over the phone, and in writing, both in Czech and English.
Our humble expectations
- Extensive sales experience, preferably in retail, such as super- / hypermarkets, FMCG, or alcohol wholesalers.
- A natural ‘hunter’ with hunger to build and create a portfolio from the ground up.
- Demonstrable consultative sales approach - someone who can build relationships and tailor our offering and business model to a specific partner based on various parameters.
- Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent analytical skills - such as translating data into actions, or analysing sales metrics and producing relevant KPIs.
- Fluent in Czech/Slovak and English.
- Driver's licence.
