Our company, Wolt License Services (WLS), is a dynamic organization specializing in payment and financial services for our parent company Wolt, a prominent platform marketplace, and Wolt’s customers. WLS currently manages all merchant payment flows across over 22 markets, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements, including AML, safeguarding customer funds, and maintaining robust internal controls. As a licensed and supervised payment and e-money institution, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and efficiency in our operations.
As we continue to expand our financial services and drive innovation, we are seeking to strengthen our regulatory and operational compliance capabilities by recruiting a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Lead (QA Lead) to join our team in Estonia. The QA Lead will be responsible for developing and managing the institution's operational and non-operational quality assurance procedures, including processes for conducting operational quality control and conducting 2LoD compliance reviews and tests. This role requires a deep understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management and effective communication with internal stakeholders. The QA Lead will play a crucial role in ensuring strong oversight over ongoing operational practices. The role will be reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance.
What you'll be doing
- Develop Quality Control Strategy: Create new quality control methodologies and approaches to ensure all operating procedures and controls meet the expected quality standards and are reliable for ensuring ongoing compliance.
- Enhance Control Processes: Review existing quality control methods and suggest improvements.
- Guide the QA Team: Guide the operational quality assurance team towards more leaner solutions for performing ongoing quality checks.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work with compliance organisation, product management and operational teams to integrate control procedures smoothly.
- Define Test Plans: Work with your direct manager to create a detailed quality assurance annual control plans and roadmaps.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records and prepare reports of ongoing quality review test results to the senior leadership.
- Main Contact for Collaboration: Serve as the primary contact for cross-team collaboration, representing the QA team in discussions with product, operations and other stakeholders.
Our humble expectations
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Law, Finance or a related field.
- Relevant experience and proven ability to independently design, implement, and oversee quality assurance frameworks.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, preferably within the financial services or payments industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing testing and/or compliance programs.
- In-depth knowledge of EEA AML/CTF regulations, and an understanding of the latest trends and challenges in the field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail in reviewing complex business processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
