Using AI in your interview process at Wolt

At Wolt, we’re all about innovation. We see AI as a tool that helps us move faster and think bigger, and we welcome candidates who see it the same way. AI can be a great support in your preparation and can improve your candidate journey, but it will never replace authenticity, ownership, or good judgment.
At the end of the day, the interview process is your chance to show what you can bring to the team and how you stand out. We want to hear your insights, your voice, and your values.
General guidelines for using AI in interviews at Wolt:
Always represent your work and experiences truthfully.
Don’t use AI during live interviews unless your interviewer specifically invites you to. If you need any accommodations in the process, please let us know.*
Interviewers may ask about how you’ve used AI in your preparation. They are not required to allow AI use during live interviews unless previously approved.
If AI is used in a way that misrepresents your skills or experiences without disclosure, your candidacy may be disqualified.
How to use AI thoughtfully in the Wolt interview process:
Resume Building & Application Materials
When it comes to building your resume and application materials, AI can help polish your presentation by improving clarity, grammar, formatting, and structure. It may also suggest stronger ways to highlight your actual experiences. However, your resume should always remain true to your own story. Avoid using AI to fabricate roles, skills, or accomplishments, or to create a version of your narrative that doesn’t sound like you.
Preparation & Research
AI is handy when you’re organizing your thoughts, exploring interview questions, or learning about companies and industries. You can also review AI-generated tips for structuring responses. Still, your preparation must reflect your own thinking and approach — don’t rely solely on AI, and don’t memorize or repeat AI’s answers word-for-word during your interview.
Take Home Assessment / Live Working Sessions
Read instructions carefully — some assignments may prohibit AI use while others may allow or even encourage it. When permitted, you can use AI to help structure ideas, check clarity, or refine your wording. However, the core problem-solving and conclusions should be entirely your own. Your submission must reflect your individual thinking, and you should be prepared to explain your process and any AI involvement. Avoid copying AI-generated content or depending on AI to complete the work for you.
Live Interviews
During live interviews — whether over the phone, video, or in person — it's critical to rely on your own skills, knowledge, and judgment. Unless explicitly permitted, do not use AI or transcription tools during interviews, and never let AI generate or influence your answers in real time. This is your opportunity to showcase your unique perspective and experience. Always be yourself. If you need any AI tools or recording technology as an accommodation, discuss this with your recruiter beforehand.
*Accommodations: If you require AI or recording tools as an accommodation, please let your recruiter know during your first conversation with them. They will document it in your application so that it’s respected throughout the process. This information will be kept confidential, in accordance with DoorDash/Wolt HR privacy statements, and will only be used to ensure a fair interview experience. Sharing this will not affect your evaluation or chances of success in any way. Please note that you’re not required to disclose any disability status or provide any medical details to us.
