We are now kicking things off by hiring a team lead for Wolt Operations, an independent company operating Wolt’s courier employment model in Finland. You will play a pivotal role in bringing this new setup to life and building the foundation that will enable it. We are looking for experienced people with a can-do mindset to help us shape and run this work.

We are looking for a Team Lead to support and enable this journey.
What you’ll be doing
As a Team Lead, you’ll play a key role in bringing Wolt’s new employment model to life.
You’ll be responsible for building and leading Operations for employed couriers, partnering with stakeholders to create scalable processes.
Your main responsibilities will include
- Overseeing the business performance of employed couriers in Finland
- Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing team of team coordinators
- Own hiring, onboarding, and performance development within the team
- Supporting the team in meeting defined KPIs.
- Build a strong team culture rooted in accountability, growth, and shared success
- Implement team rituals (standups, retros, 1:1s) to support execution and improvement
- Mentor team members to take on greater ownership and grow Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and implement practical, scalable fixes
- Continuous process improvements
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is both strategic and hands-on — someone who can build from scratch, but also develop operations at a large scale. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable making decisions independently when needed.
- 5+ years in operations, support, logistics, or similar fields
- 2+ years of people management experience, including hiring, coaching, and developing team members
- Strong execution skills, bringing structure to complexity without slowing things down
- Experience leading teams in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge in Finnish labor law and managing HR/employee relations and processes
- Operational mindset: think in systems, spot weak points, and fix them before they grow
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in English; Finnish as a plus
- Proficient in Google Sheets and familiar with tools like Looker
- Eligibility to work in Finland as an employee

- Experience from advocacy and public affairs
- Experience in performance metrics
- Background in scaling teams or processes
