As part of our South Region (Greece, Malta, Cyprus, Albania, Kosovo, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan), we’re looking for a Head of Courier Strategy & Innovation to help us chart the course for sustainable growth, scale new initiatives, and bring innovation to life. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and technology, with a special focus on embedding new technologies across the business to unlock efficiency and customer value.

What you’ll be doing

This role is all about driving initiatives and innovations across diverse markets while ensuring Wolt remains agile and forward-thinking. You’ll partner with the rest of the South Ops functions, global functions, and external stakeholders to identify opportunities, pilot new initiatives, and scale what works.

Day-to-day in this role you’ll:

  • Plan, develop and execute sustainability initiatives
  • Lead strategic projects across multiple markets, ensuring alignment and knowledge-sharing.
  • Drive innovation pilots (e.g. new business models, automation, AI applications) and oversee their rollout across the region.
  • Identify key areas of improvement in terms of efficiency, customer experience and propose scalable actions across all markets
  • Work closely with the other South Ops teams (Supply, Efficiency, Quality, Experience) to ensure scalability and consistency.
  • Communicate with legal authorities and respond to official requests, while proactively monitoring regulatory and legal developments that may impact Wolt’s operations across the region

Our humble expectations

  • 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting or leadership roles in high-growth environments.
  • Proven track record of driving cross-functional projects and delivering measurable impact.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to turn insights into action.
  • Fluency in English (Greek or other regional language is a plus).
  • Experience working with AI/ML tools, or a keen interest in leveraging them for business transformation.
  • A collaborative leader who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Excellent project management and execution capabilities.
