We’re now looking for a strategic leader to join as the Head of Marketing Strategy & Operations, reporting directly to our VP of Marketing & Growth. If you’re passionate about shaping strategy, scaling global teams, and making data-informed decisions that drive meaningful impact, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Own and evolve Wolt’s global marketing strategy across Consumer, Courier, and Merchant verticals, ensuring alignment with company priorities.
- Drive capital allocation decisions across brand, performance, CRM, partnerships, and innovation channels, balancing growth with efficiency.
- Partner with Product, Finance, and local marketing teams to design and implement scalable marketing investment models.
- Lead key strategic initiatives (e.g., QBRs, annual planning, C-level updates) and ensure marketing delivers against growth and profitability targets.
Performance Management & Operating Model
- Oversee development and tracking of marketing performance frameworks, ensuring ROI measurement across campaigns, markets, and audiences.
- Build tools, systems, and dashboards to monitor efficiency and effectiveness of marketing spend and execution.
- Partner with Finance & Strategy to set targets, track progress, and translate results into actionable insights for leadership.
- Lead scenario planning and “what if” analysis to enable data-driven decision-making.
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
- Act as the global DRI for marketing planning and operations, working closely with Regional Marketing Leads and cross-functional executives.
- Establish governance structures, playbooks, and templates to support local teams in prioritizing resources and aligning with global strategies.
- Facilitate alignment between central and local marketing teams, ensuring Wolt’s marketing approach is both globally consistent and locally relevant.
Systems, Tools & Scalability
- Partner with Martech and Product teams to scale marketing infrastructure (automation, attribution, experimentation platforms).
- Design and implement operational models and planning cadences to streamline decision-making and increase marketing speed-to-market.
- Ensure compliance, readiness, and scalability of marketing processes as Wolt expands into new geographies or verticals.
Our humble expectations
- 8–10 years of experience in strategy, operations, or marketing leadership in high-growth, global, or matrixed environments.
- Strong analytical and financial skills; fluent in tools such as Excel/Sheets, BI dashboards, and able to drive insight from complex data.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders across multiple geographies.
- Deep understanding of marketing functions (brand, performance, CRM, B2B) and how they contribute to growth.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to balance investment efficiency, brand building, and long-term value creation.
- Strong ownership mentality, bias for action, and comfort operating in ambiguity.
- Prior exposure to marketplaces, multi-sided platforms, or marketing operations at scale is a plus.
