Role background

Wolt is a Finnish technology company best known for our food delivery platform. We are growing rapidly and are now looking for an Operations Specialist to join our Courier Communications team in either Prague, Czechia or Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The Courier Communications team defines how, what, and when we communicate with and about our courier partners. Our mission is to deliver clear, high-quality, and effective communication that strengthens engagement, builds trust, and drives business impact across all markets. As a strategically focused team, we shape the voice of the Courier Experience domain, ensuring messaging is impactful, targeted, and consistent across all courier-facing channels.

In this role, you’ll support the creation, execution, and optimization of courier-facing communication while ensuring a smooth flow of information between couriers, operations, and cross-functional teams. You will be at the intersection of strategy and execution - helping us set standards for communication quality, structure, and performance.

What you’ll be doing 🚀

  • Do and manage courier communications across multiple channels (e.g. in-app, email, push notifications), ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with brand voice.
  • Localize and adapt courier-facing messages to fit cultural and market-specific needs while maintaining overall consistency.
  • Support strategic comms planning - assist in defining when, how, and to whom we communicate to optimize impact and engagement.
  • Analyze communication performance, using data to improve open rates, onboarding conversion, and engagement metrics.
  • Assist in feature implementation and scaling - help pilot new tools, track adoption, and ensure smooth rollout in your market.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (CRM, Performance Marketing, Community, PR/Comms) to align on messaging, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Support crisis communication efforts, helping to prepare and deliver timely, structured, and clear messaging during high-impact situations.
  • Identify process gaps in communication and propose improvements for better efficiency, scalability, and courier satisfaction.

  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging messages for a diverse audience.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to measure and improve communication effectiveness.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable taking initiative to improve processes and tools.
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to work cross-functionally across different teams and countries.
  • Empathetic communicator, able to understand and address courier needs with clarity and respect.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and making decisions within defined guidelines.
  • Native [Local Language] & fluent English required.
