Wolt’s Global Sustainability team manages a five-pillar Sustainability Strategy covering all business verticals and the 30+ countries in which Wolt operates in. We’re seeking a proactive and collaborative Sustainability Specialist to support Wolt’s growing global sustainability efforts, with a focus on creating social impact programs that support Wolt’s efforts to give back to the communities we operate in. Reporting to the Global Sustainability Manager, this role will lead the development and execution of strategic sustainability initiatives, spanning social impact, environmental programs, and community engagement. Examples of initiatives that you may kick start the role with are customer fundraising and food recovery solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Strategy & Cross-Functional Collaboration - Support the development and implementation of a social impact strategy and annual plan for Wolt that builds on our existing programmes and initiatives. Work closely with teams such as DEI, Product, Marketing, Legal, Finance and Operations to ensure a unified approach to social impact that aligns with Wolt’s and Door Dash’s broader sustainability and business goals.

  • Process & Project Management -  Help maintain and improve processes for social impact initiatives across our 30+ countries, including establishing processes and drafting concept notes and playbooks. Support due diligence and financial accounting processes for partnerships. Take ownership of project management for select topics within social impact and sustainability.

  • Providing Strategic & Programmatic Support - Provide operational support to regional teams implementing local sustainability and social impact initiatives. Help maintain and distribute toolkits and resources to support local efforts.

  • Global Fundraising & Philanthropy -  Work closely with our product developers and marketing teams to align global efforts around fundraising from WeDeliver, customers, and merchant partners (e.g. designing and aligning existing annual holiday campaigns).

  • Partnership Management - Support the initiation and management of global partnerships focused on food insecurity, food waste reduction, and courier partner social inclusion. Serve as a key point of contact for NGOs, nonprofits, and other partners, escalating complex matters as needed.

  • Community Engagement  - Support local teams in implementing community programs, helping coordinate between regional offices and local organizations. (e.g., assist regional and People teams to implement a global employee volunteering program).

  • Measurement & Impact Analysis - Collaborate with the analytics team to establish and track key metrics for social impact initiatives. Help compile and analyze program data, creating regular reports to showcase progress and identify areas for improvement.
