Wolt is looking to expand its Security team, and we're hiring a Senior Global Safety Specialist to help us continue providing a safe working environment Woltwide. The security team is a multidisciplinary team which is responsible for information security, data privacy, physical security and safety at Wolt. Our Security team collaborates across Wolt's functions globally to enable us to build the first class product and service of Wolt.

The Global Safety Specialist will play a crucial role in implementing and managing health and safety policies, procedures and guidelines across all countries that Wolt operates in. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented approach,  ability to adapt to the fast-paced environment and ensure that our workplace standards meet and exceed local and international health and safety regulations.

📍This role will be based in Helsinki or Stockholm.

Among responsibilities and challenges:

• Develop, implement, and maintain global health and safety programs that comply with legal standards and best practices Woltwide

• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement required actions

• Lead incident investigations, reporting, and analysis to prevent future occurrences

• Provide health and safety training to employees, focusing on prevention and emergency response

• Stay abreast of new legislation and advancements in health and safety to continually improve our practices

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and compliance across all Wolt premises

• Work as a subject matter expert and advisor on health and safety matters as well as emergencies

• Ultimately be ready to do hands-on work on the ground level to enable a safe working environment

• 5+ years of experience in health and safety roles, in a global or multinational company, with a focus on overseeing health and safety programs across multiple countries

• Strong knowledge of international health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, experience running investigations, risk assessments and audits 

• Experience in developing global health and safety programs, writing guidelines, SOPs as well as deliver trainings

• Proven ability to work independently and manage projects across multiple locations and time zones and capacity to take ownership on large scale projects

• Bachelor’s degree / Master’s degree / Certifications in Occupational Health, Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related field is a plus

• Previous experience in warehouse/distribution center environment is a plus

• Experience and knowledge in fire safety is a plus
