We are seeking a motivated Public Policy Intern to support our Public Policy team in Central and Eastern Europe. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public policy research, stakeholder engagement and policy strategy. You will work closely with our experienced Head of Public Policy in the region, contributing to Wolt’s efforts in navigating regulatory landscapes, building positive reputation and trustworthy relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy Research: Conduct research on local, regional, and national policies affecting Wolt’s operations, including areas such as gig economy regulations, technology policy, and urban development.

  • Stakeholder Mapping: Assist in identifying and mapping key stakeholders, including government bodies, industry associations, and advocacy groups.

  • Regulatory Monitoring: Track and analyze regulatory developments relevant to Wolt, summarizing key insights for the team.

  • Communication Support: Draft briefing materials, policy summaries, and presentations for internal and external use.

  • Engagement Support: Assist in preparing for and supporting meetings with policymakers, regulators, and other external stakeholders.

  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with other teams (e.g. Legal, Operations, and Communications) to align policy efforts with business objectives.

  • Data Analysis: Analyze policy impacts and provide data-driven recommendations to the team.

Our humble expectations

  • Education: Currently being enrolled in the Master's programme (4th or 5th year) of University in Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, Law, or a related field and being in the last year of studies.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Slovak/Czech or Polish.

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to synthesize complex information and present it clearly and concisely.

  • Proactiveness: A self-starter with a can-do attitude and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Adaptability: Comfortable with multitasking and adjusting to new priorities as they arise.

  • Interest in Public Policy: A genuine curiosity about regulatory frameworks, policymaking, and the role of technology in society.

Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and policy research databases.
