Are you interested in being a Payroll Associate with experience in international payrolls, and a good eye for overall payroll development? Do you want to be part of building and scaling our payroll operations in a truly global tech organization? If this sounds like you, then we’d love to chat!

Wolt is a Finnish technology company founded in 2014 with a mission to transform the way people can order food from restaurants. The People team at Wolt currently consists of 100+ HR, Payroll, and Talent Acquisition professionals located in Helsinki, Copenhagen, Berlin, Tel-Aviv, Tbilisi, Budapest, Zagreb, and Tokyo.
We always strive for global scalability, modern processes, and automation, and therefore we prioritize systems development in every area of the business. With this attitude, during 2021 the People team has launched platforms like Workday, Altshare, and Charles Schwab, while simultaneously beginning the rollout of Quinyx and changing our payroll vendor to ADP.
We are going through rapid growth in our global payroll team, and we are looking for a Payroll Associate located in Bratislava, with an end-to-end understanding of payroll processes and ideally payroll experience from both in-house and outsourced payroll.
This is a truly unique opportunity to be part of a payroll team in one of the fastest growing companies in Europe, having a chance to really contribute to what modern global payroll looks like, with a goal to provide a world-class payroll experience to all of our employees.

What you’ll be doing

  • Deliver a world class employee payroll experience when delivering payroll services and when customers need help, while also resolving any issues that arise with a root cause analysis and corrective action.

  • Support our HR team in the hands-on collection, calculation, and entering of payroll data, where not yet part of our HCM to Payroll integration.
  • Ensure the integrity of payroll data across integrated HR and payroll systems, and promptly identify and rectify any discrepancies.
  • Contributes towards a few development projects that impact the payroll function Woltwide, and on other payroll or business lead change activities.
  • Providing support to Global Payroll Transformation with payroll projects including payroll vendor change, system integrations, country expansions and automation of various payroll processes (e.g.: data gathering, testing, etc.).
  • Support payroll teammates with any side activities with their countries such as data collection, employee queries or off-cycle payments, and when necessary, back up your teammate to deliver payroll services.
  • Create, maintain and improve payroll process documentation.
  • Take ownership of your development plan and collaborate with your Team Lead to achieve your goals.
  • Fulfill any additional tasks as assigned by the Team Lead.

Our humble expectations

  • You have a good understanding of core payroll management and processes.
  • Experience and passion towards payroll and payroll-related technology and processes.
  • Previous experience in payroll operations and Workday (or other enterprise HR systems) is considered a strong advantage.
  • Good knowledge of tax and social security law in DACH Region
  • Familiarity with personnel systems such as  SV-Net and experience with ADP Celergo is a plus
