About the Global Merchant Team
On the Global Merchant team, our mission is to have best-in class restaurant and store selection for consumers and build products and services for our merchants to grow their businesses profitably on Wolt. In doing so, we partner up closely with the commercial teams in our +28 countries.
Our five global subteams focus on distinct areas of the merchant lifecycle and experience but also our internal efficiency related to reaching our mission:
The Merchant S&O (Strategy & Operations) team is responsible for our merchant and selection strategy, merchant experience, planning and performance tracking, operating model design as well as commercial go-to-market approaches
The Sales S&O team owns and develops the goaling, sales operations processes, tools and enablement programs to support and improve the productivity of our local pre- and post-sales teams
The Merchant Operations subteam focuses on smooth execution of core processes such as onboarding, in-store flows, self-service tooling and integrations - this in a very tight collaboration with our product teams
The Enterprise team works directly with global current and prospective merchant partners to unlock and grow our joint business
The B2B subteam owns and develops some of our newer service offerings for merchants - such as logistics as a service (Drive)
About the Role
Wolt is looking for a strong individual contributor within Sales Strategy - Sales Planning & Compensation, to define our sales incentive strategy and planning roadmap–enabling Wolt to hit business goals. This role will be based in Helsinki or Berlin.
In this role within the Sales Strategy and Planning team, you will combine strategic planning and analysis with operational execution. Metaphorically, if our sales & account management teams are the engine that drives growth, this role is the compass directing that engine. Responsibilities will range from strategic (designing incentives aligned to the company's goals and strategy, integrating new products into sales GTM strategy and building consensus among sales leadership) to operational/tactical (designing compensation plans, driving plan implementation and ensuring key metrics can be communicated, tracked and commissions calculated). You will ultimately design and administer a sales incentive program for our sales and account management teams, globally in the 28 Wolt markets–partnering with teams across analytics, compensation & rewards, product, and sales.
You will bring a strategic mindset and deliver critical insights using analytical and technical support to the successful administration of sales incentive programs globally while proactively building partnerships, promoting open dialogue and creative insights expertise to issues in real time.
What you will be doing
Work closely with sales leadership, sales strategy, finance, and product teams to own the development, implementation and administration of new sales incentive structures
Build and maintain complex forecast models that drive the sales organisation’s goals
Continuously assess business performance, drive diagnostics and deliver data-driven recommendations on ways to improve output
Set and track to accurate quota targets across various sales organisations that align with our strategic topline and company goals
Translate data into effective narratives to present to cross-functional business partners
Create compelling and accurate visualization reports that track sales commissions while providing insights into business performance
Focus on improving standardisation and automation of all processes to do with quota, incentive design and attainment/commissions tracking
Become the subject matter expert on sales data, sales incentives, while also gaining a comprehensive understanding of the sales process and drivers for each business unit we support

You have 5+ years of experience in any of the following fields: sales/business planning, strategy & operations, business consulting, analytics
You have a proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives, hitting goals, and succeeding in a complex and fast moving environment
You’re an excellent analytical thinker who can deliver actionable recommendations out of complex datasets; SQL experience strongly preferred as is experience with CRMs (Salesforce, PipeDrive, Hubspot)
You have expert communication and interpersonal skills
You’re entrepreneurial – You have a bias towards action, an ownership mentality and are able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment
