To reach our next exciting growth plans, we are now looking for an experienced HR Operations Specialist to join our South Region People Team in Baku, Azerbaijan.
As an HR Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional employee experience while supporting our business leaders and teams across Wolt in Azerbaijan and other countries in the South Region such as Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Georgia among others. You’ll work closely with the global and regional teams to implement people strategies, maintain operational excellence, and drive initiatives that contribute to our people and culture.
What You’ll Do
Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, terminations, data changes, and payroll tasks, ensuring accuracy in Workday.
Address advanced HR inquiries (Tier 2) and provide expert advice on complex HR matters.
Support HR programs like compensation reviews and performance appraisals, ensuring seamless implementation.
Utilize HR data for insightful analyses and reporting to inform decision-making.
Resolve sensitive employee relations issues with fairness, compliance, and professionalism.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and refine HR systems like Workday and Quinyx for efficiency.
Our humble expectations
HR Expertise and Experience
Proven experience as an HR Generalist or HR Operations Specialist, ideally in a global, scaling environment.
Strong grasp of HR best practices and hands-on experience with day-to-day people processes.
In-depth knowledge of the Azerbaijani legal landscape, including statutory employment legislation and compliance requirements. Knowledge of other legislations will be considered an asset.
Familiarity with shift work regulations and processes is highly valued.
Technical Proficiency
Skilled in HRIS platforms like Workday and experienced in maintaining HR policies and handling compensation and benefit topics.
Passion for leveraging technology and data to optimize HR processes.
Communication and Collaboration
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
Comfortable working in hybrid/remote environments using digital tools like Slack and Zoom.
Language Skills
Full fluency in Azerbaijani and English; knowledge of Russian is a plus.
Mindset and Attitude
Proactive and solution-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership.
Positive team player with excellent networking and collaboration skills in diverse settings.
