On the Global Merchant team, our mission is to have best-in class restaurant and store selection for consumers and build products and services for our merchants to grow their businesses profitably on Wolt. In doing so, we partner up closely with the commercial teams in our +28 countries.

Our five global subteams focus on distinct areas of the merchant lifecycle and experience but also our internal efficiency related to reaching our mission:

  • The Merchant S&O (Strategy & Operations) team is responsible for our merchant and selection strategy, merchant experience, planning and performance tracking, operating model design as well as commercial go-to-market approaches
  • The Sales (revenue) S&O team owns and develops the goaling, sales operations processes, tools and enablement programs to support and improve the productivity of our local pre- and post-sales teams
  • The Merchant Operations subteam focuses on smooth execution of core processes such as onboarding, in-store flows, self-service tooling and integrations - this in a very tight collaboration with our product teams
  • The Enterprise team works directly with global current and prospective merchant partners to unlock and grow our joint business
  • The B2B subteam owns and develops some of our newer service offerings for merchants - such as logistics as a service (Drive)

About the Role

The Director of Regional Revenue S&O will be responsible for driving revenue growth across our 28 markets. They will build an operating playbook to work with all regions improving sales productivity, launching strategic initiatives, implementing centrally driven programs & product launches and more. This person will own key company OKRs at the global and country level and work closely with country & central teams to achieve these goals. This role will be the catalyst of making our central company plans a reality in each country. This is a management position. This role will be located (or willing to relocate) in Berlin or Helsinki.

What you will be doing

  • Lead the Revenue S&O team located across our markets. You will be responsible for managing and developing this team
  • Partner with country GMs, commercial, sales and account management leads to hit revenue goals. This will include developing WBR cadences, GTM playbooks, and driving accountability–build rapport and be a true partner to the country teams
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (finance, product, analytics, legal) to unblock and enable local teams. You will need to find the balance between scalable solutions and country specific needs.
  • Accelerate Merchant acquisition globally across Restaurants, Retail, Grocery and more–adopt incentive programs, test acquisition methods, make budget cases, and more to grow our selection lead
  • Build sales enablement to drive uniformity across country processes, improve our sales playbook and standardize tool/CRM usage.
  • Build a playbook to deploy global changes across regulations, products, or new channels. You will be the bridge from countries to these internal teams and new developments so figuring out how to deploy at scale will be key. 
  • Report to our executive team on OKR progress and country status.

Our humble expectations

  • Strong CRM understanding (SFDC, PipeDrive, HubSpot, etc.)
  • Previous management experience 
  • Years of similar experience in a GM or similar strategy role
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Very strong cross-functional management skills
  • (Nice to have) SQL and dashboarding proficiency
