Role Background:


Wolt is a Finnish technology company and we’re best known for our delivery platform.
Ever since we entered the market, Wolt has been growing rapidly in Azerbaijan. As such, we now need someone to lead and develop our sales team! As the Development Team Lead you’ll be responsible for building our Account Management team and function. The team will manage and develop our merchant portfolio and its key metrics to benefit customers, restaurant & retail partners, courier partners and Wolt. We’re looking for someone who has a real passion for establishing strong relationships and has the ability to use strong analytical thinking to identify improvement areas by testing, implementing, and evaluating actions. This is a new team and you’ll be at the forefront of defining how we work with partners going forward.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing the relationship and performance of the partner portfolio to ensure mutual value is created to both merchants, courier partners, customers and Wolt.
  • Using your analytical competencies to dissect sales data and identify improvement areas.
  • Testing how to work with restaurant & retail partners at scale, evaluating results and building seamless processes to make sure you and your team structure your work efficiently and create results.
  • Re-negotiating general terms and condition of key restaurant & retail partners.
  • Ensuring the success of your team by setting targets, sparring, coaching, managing their efforts, and whatever else it takes.
  • Ensuring the well-being of the team.
  • Evangelizing best practices and actively consulting your team.
  • Recruiting new talented Development Managers into your team.
  • Facilitating a strong communications loop with Head of Commercial, Partnership Lead, Onboarding Lead and Support Lead.

Our humble expectations

  • Experience - You have a solid track record as a Business Developer or as a Senior Account Manager.
  • Analytical skills and good business flair - You have the ability to ‘think big’ as well as execute ‘on-the-fly’ via understanding the dynamics behind the business through your analysis of large data sets.
  • Project management - You know how to manage internal as well as external stakeholders, and how to implement projects in a structured and logical method.
  • Effective communication - Outstanding interpersonal and business skills. Able to quickly establish gravitas and credibility with a range of stakeholders.
  • Good leadership skills or potential - You know how to motivate, coach, and educate team members to reach their full potential. Previous experience in managing a team is a big plus.
  • Fluent in Azerbaijani, Russian and English. 
     

Extra points if you also have the following

  • Previous experience in building up a new function and/or Account Management team or similar.
  • Experience working with BI tools, databases, SQL, or similar.
  • Experience from the restaurant or hospitality industry to better relate to our business.
