About Wolt

At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.

Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.

  • Locations: Helsinki, Berlin
  • Full-time
  • Department: Global Merchant Operations

Role background

The Global Merchant Operations team drives strategic initiatives to empower our local partners and enhance the merchant experience across all our markets. We work closely with product, marketing, and operations teams, while also supporting country teams in solving challenges and optimizing performance. Our success is measured by the growth and efficiency of our restaurant and retail partners worldwide.

We are looking for a Program Manager, Merchant Onboarding to play a key role in improving merchant onboarding processes and helping to implement and standardize these across our markets. In this role, you will lead key programs, collaborating with central teams in product, finance, and compliance, as well as local teams globally.

This is your opportunity to join one of Europe’s most successful growth companies, disrupt the delivery industry, and make a real impact on millions of people’s daily lives.

What you’ll be doing

  • Understanding complex challenges, designing solutions, identifying & scaling best practices and implementing them in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and merchant onboarding teams in our countries.
  • Taking ownership of various initiatives driving Merchant Onboarding efficiency, and managing these strategic and operationally complex projects with a cross-functional team including product, analytics, legal and finance.
  • Going deep into details, ensuring transparency and continuous alignment between all stakeholders in order to achieve the best possible results
  • Supporting and training our local merchant onboarding teams to be continuously first-rate. You will partner with multiple internal stakeholders to develop and manage an awesome library of resources, including necessary readouts, process maps, updates on new features, training content, and customer facing onboarding materials.
  • You will be reporting to the Global Head of Merchant Onboarding.

Our humble expectations

  • Advanced experience in building new operational processes, piloting and rolling them out across multiple markets.
  • Drive, ownership and independence. Comfortable working both independently as well as managing a group of stakeholders, often in parallel across multiple topics.
  • Excellent people and communication skills. In order to make an impact, you need to be able to communicate effectively with people from a wide range of backgrounds, running from support associates to senior management. You easily win people's trust and get them excited about changes you want to implement.
  • Strong analytical skills, experience in working with data, and making data driven decisions
  • Excellent MS office skills (especially Excel & Powerpoint) are a must. Previous experience with data analytics platforms such as Looker or data management tools such as SQL is a bonus.
  • Extensive experience in B2B partner onboarding in a tech/platform ecosystem, global retailer or manufacturer (eg FMCG). Startup/scaleup experience is a plus.
  • Experience in management consulting, ideally with a focus on operational improvement initiatives is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

What we offer

  • Independent work in a dynamic, international team
  • A fast-growing tech company with many career opportunities
  • Attractive salary package including equity
  • Discount on Wolt orders
  • Modern work equipment of your choice (MacBook, iPad)
  • Various soft drinks, coffee and fruits in the office
  • Comprehensive internal education
  • Weekly (virtual) all-hands meetings and regular team events
  • Flexible working hours policy and 30 days of paid vacation
