About the Team
At Wolt, our mission is to empower local economies by providing innovative technology solutions that make it easier for customers, merchants to connect. We are seeking an Software Asset Manager to join our Global IT team and help drive our software asset management (SAM) initiatives worldwide.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented IT Software Asset Management Analyst to join our IT Asset Management team. You will play a critical role in managing and optimizing DoorDash’s global software portfolio. You will oversee all aspects of SaaS software asset management, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, finance, legal, and IT, to implement best practices in software lifecycle management.
We prefer you to work from 1 PM to 9 PM CET. Alternatively, you have the flexibility to split your workday to ensure overlap with our team in the US.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop and execute a global SaaS software asset management (SAM) strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and IT governance policies.
- Define and anchor software asset management principles across the owners of services / applications in the organization, and continuously secure the quality.
- Oversee the procurement, deployment, tracking, and decommissioning of software licenses across all regions.
- Facilitate the up-to-date service / application register and an up-to-date service catalog
- Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and address potential risks of non-compliance.
- Proactively facilitate stakeholder dialogues to continuously optimize our software license portfolio, and increase our profitability.
- Manage relationships with software vendors, including negotiation of contracts, renewals, and audits.
- Monitor and optimize software usage to minimize costs and maximize value.
- Provide regular reports and dashboards to stakeholders on software usage, costs, and compliance.
- Analyze trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend optimizations.
- Partner with procurement and finance teams to forecast software budgets and optimize spending.
- Work closely with IT and business units to understand software needs and ensure proper allocation of resources.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure software compliance with security policies and standards.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management or IT Asset Management, with a focus on global operations.
- Deep knowledge of SaaS software licensing models and agreements, including those for major vendors such as Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, and SaaS providers.
- Proven experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Google Suite, JIRA or other related project management tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced customer service and stakeholder management skills
- Detail oriented, problem solver & resourceful
