Job Overview
Reporting to the Wolt Market General Manager, the Operations Manager has full ownership of the store and delivery operations. The Operations Manager is responsible for building and maintaining an efficient, profitable and scalable delivery & store operation within the market, while expanding to new locations and cities. This involves growing and leading a team of Store Managers and Grocery Associates. The Operations Manager for Wolt Market collaborates closely with the Operations Manager for Wolt platform, especially regarding delivery operations.
Role responsibilities
- Having responsibility for the end-to-end store operation, from fulfillment to delivery.
- Focusing on the continuous improvement of the operations: safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity.
- Hiring and leading a team, while maintaining a motivated team of Wolt Market Store Managers and Associates.
- Providing day to day leadership and guidance to Store Managers and Associates to optimize store operations and guarantee operational excellence.
- Driving creation of staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other change initiatives to support and enable Store Managers to meet and exceed the Business Plan.
- Reviewing the work forecasts and determining productivity requirements to produce during the day to meet the overall store/country objectives.
Qualifications
- Operations Management experience in a distribution environment.
- Experience in e-commerce or on demand fulfillment is a strong plus.
- Basic/working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques preferred.
- Excel skills required.
- Team leadership experience (preferably having led a team with multiple direct reports).
- Ability to think both strategically and operationally with an eye for detail.
- A hands-on, proactive, practical, pragmatic attitude.
- Full professional proficiency in local language and English.
