Job Overview 

As a Finance Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of Wolt’s financial strategy, ensuring robust financial process performance, operational efficiency, and financial data consistency. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive financial insights and support the company’s continued growth. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

As a Finance Development Manager at Wolt you work together with our Finance Process Owners, documenting, clarifying and communicating the finance requirements to the Product Development team for relevant projects in your portfolio. Your portfolio will consist of several different types of projects, but the main focus at the hire will be in revenue recognition and Wolt offerings to merchants. This means working closely with our Product Owners and developers working to improve and further develop our platform.

 

Responsibilities & Duties 

  • Support Finance Process Owners and other internal customers with issue scoping and making actionable plans to successfully implement development initiatives

  • Partner with Product Owners  to ensure finance requirements are considered on relevance in product development and act as a one-point of contact for the finance area towards Product development initiatives

  • Manage and drive projects, as per need basis as a Project Manager in the finance core processes

  • Identify and drive improvements and harmonization across financial processes, ensuring scalability and efficiency as Wolt expands

  • Focus area in the beginning will be the Merchant offering, but the team portfolio is wide range

  • Challenge the ways in which we are operating our finance processes and propose solutions for increasing our efficiency or quality and drive harmonized E2E processes

  • Support ad-hoc financial projects, including for example expansion and new business initiatives

Preferred Skills & Experience 

  • 5 + years of experience from relevant roles in Finance

  • Experience from project management, preferably in the area of Finance core processes

  • Proof points of processes end-to-end management

  • Be comfortable with managing a broad set of stakeholders with efficient communication and with the ability to stand firm when needed

  • Technical implementation experience and interest on finance systems and data flows

  • Experience in a fast-growing or technology-driven company is highly desirable

  • Exceptional problem solving skills and the ability to translate finance requirements into actionable Product development plans

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with senior management

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
