About the Internship:

We are seeking a motivated Finance Intern to support our Accounts Payable team in Hungary, Budapest. This internship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Accounts Payable and vendor relationship management. You will work closely with our experienced AP Accountants and specialists, contributing to the stabilization of our recently insourced AP processes at Wolt by handling tasks such as statement reconciliations, invoice booking, vendor issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Statement reconciliation : Run frequent reconciliations comparing our internal records to vendor statements to ensure these are well aligned and there are no discrepancies.
  • Invoice booking : Process third-party invoices daily, ensuring timely payments.
  • Vendor issue resolution : Handle incoming vendor queries regarding outstanding invoices and take appropriate action to resolve issues in our financial systems.
  • Stakeholder management : Address queries from internal business colleagues regarding vendor payments. 
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Payments, Operations plus our internal Annotation teams to align strategies and deliver exceptional service to vendors.

  • Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field and being in their last year of studies.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Proactiveness: A self-starter with a can-do attitude and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable with multitasking and adjusting to new priorities as they arise.
  • Tech-Savvy: Able to adopt new technologies quickly, for example Google suite, Slack, analytics tools etc.
