To continue this strong momentum, we’re now looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Retail to lead and scale this part of our business in Sweden.

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the General Manager, this is a key leadership role and part of the Wolt Sweden Leadership Team. You’ll be responsible for defining and executing Wolt’s retail strategy across categories, driving sustainable growth, and ensuring our partners from national retail chains to local shops succeed on the platform. We are in the business of building a Shopping mall in your pocket. 

You’ll lead the full retail organization in Sweden, including sales and account management, through our Retail Team Lead and local teams. You’ll also work closely with the Wolt Global Retail team to ensure alignment and success with our Nordic and international retail accounts playing a key role in how we scale our partnerships regionally.

Working cross-functionally with other members of the Swedish Merchant team, as well as marketing, operations, and product, you’ll shape how Wolt continues to expand beyond food delivery and build the next phase of our growth story

Day-to-day in this role you’ll:

  • Set and drive Wolt’s retail strategy for the Swedish market ensuring scalable, sustainable growth and a competitive, diverse retail portfolio.
  • Lead and develop the retail organization, including sales and account management teams, through strong coaching and strategic direction.
  • Own commercial growth and partner success building strong relationships with leading retail chains and local stores while expanding into new categories.
  • Collaborate closely with the Wolt Global Retail team to align strategy and ensure success across Nordic and international key accounts.
  • Work cross-functionally with the Swedish leadership team to align retail initiatives with national priorities and operational excellence.
  • Leverage data and market insights to identify opportunities, guide decision-making, and optimize pricing, commissions, and category focus.
  • Partner with marketing and operations to create impactful joint campaigns and scalable programs that strengthen Wolt’s retail presence.
  • Foster a high-performing, collaborative culture  empowering teams to deliver best-in-class results and live Wolt’s values every day.
  • Actively contribute as a member of the Swedish Leadership Team to the overall well-being, culture, and strategic direction of the organization.

Our humble expectations 

  • Proven experience in leading large commercial or retail organizations with end-to-end ownership of strategy, growth, and P&L.
  • Strong background and proven track record in FMCG, retail, or e-commerce, with a deep understanding of how brands and retailers operate.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset paired with hands-on commercial execution.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, able to inspire teams and influence across functions and senior levels.
  • Ability to take the "elevator" from strategic to operational/tactical levels on daily basis, not afraid of getting your hands dirty 
  • Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally and internationally ensuring alignment between local priorities and global strategy.
  • Passion for building teams, partnerships, and long-term business impact in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
