The Strategy & Innovation (S&I) team plays a key role in shaping the future of Wolt’s operations. We design and execute initiatives that make our courier operations more efficient and sustainable. Our work spans across 11 countries in Central and Eastern Europe, where we focus on launching new cities, testing new delivery methods, piloting green and sustainable vehicle solutions, improving operational performance, and leading strategic cross-country projects.

As an Associate Operations Manager, you will take ownership of key operational and strategic projects, ensuring that our regional operations scale efficiently and sustainably. You’ll be responsible not only for coordination, but also for driving business impact, influencing decision-making, and ensuring operational excellence across multiple markets. You will serve as a trusted partner to regional leadership, local operations teams, HQ functions, and external partners.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading strategic and operational projects across multiple markets in the Central region. 
  • Acting as a key operational partner to regional and local teams, providing insights that shape strategic decisions.
  • Driving initiatives such as new city launches, new delivery methods, fleet & sustainability pilots, and courier operations improvements.
  • Creating structured project plans and playbooks that can be replicated across multiple markets.
  • Leading alignment across Operations, Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Support to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Facilitating recurring steering meetings, ensuring decision-making flows smoothly, and providing leadership with clear recommendations.
  • Analyzing operational data to identify patterns, inefficiencies, or opportunities for scale.
  • Turning insights into actionable strategies and tracking impact through clear KPIs and dashboards.
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of project management processes, tools, and best practices within the S&I team.

Our humble expectations*

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, consulting, operations, or business development in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of leading complex, cross-market or cross-functional initiatives with measurable business impact.
  • Strong operational and analytical skill set, ability to interpret data, build business cases, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills, comfortable interacting with senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results under pressure.
  • Experience working in multi-country or matrix environments is a strong advantage.
  • Passion for innovation and sustainability in urban logistics and delivery operations.
