Our history

2019

With just a small team of 10, Wolt Greece became a reality! Our first city was of course our capital Athens.

2020

In the middle of a global pandemic, we still kept growing. We launched in our second city, Thessaloniki and tirelessly worked (from home) to provide an amazing experience for our users. We also offered all the support we could to our restaurant and courier partners.

2021

Larissa, Patra, Volos, Heraklion, and Chania were all added to the Wolt map. Our team grew to over 200 people and we started to explore areas beyond food! Our first Wolt Market became a reality, and at the same time we expanded our retail porfolio within the app.

2022

Our plans for 2022 are big. We'll be opening more Wolt Market stores and expanding our services. Most importantly, we'll do everything we can to make every day easier, tastier and better for you!

Some fun facts

Are you up for the challenge?

Rumor has it that the moment you step foot in our offices our Ops Manager automatically challenges you to a ping-pong match

Coconut the frenchie is part of the team

Wolt's official mascot may be our adorable little reindeer, Yuho. But Wolt Greece also has another unofficial one. Coconut is a French bulldog who likes coming to the office every day and eating everything she finds on the floor!

Hear it from our people

Every day is still an adventure. So much to learn, so many people to meet, and so many great goals to achieve. 4 years later that fire keeps burning in me and that is thanks to Wolt not being complacent but searching for more ways to be of service to the users.

I think that the most important thing I’m doing through my work in Marketing is building a community. Every day, through each and every order, with the help of the people we choose to represent us and the campaigns we move forward with we create a community that makes our cities so much more beautiful.
